Tried & True is one of my son’s and husbands favorite places to eat. My parents took my son there after church today and got me a carry out meal. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I requested no tomatoes and no cucumbers on my salad. When they got home with it, it was covered in eggs. . Eggs were not even on the menu ingredients or I would have requested to leave those off as well. I am not sure why they are adding ingredients that are not listed. What if someone was allergic to eggs? So I spent 15 min taking out the lettuce piece by piece to get the eggs off and ended up with about a half a plate of salad. Quit adding eggs! Not everyone likes eggs!!!

We flew into Indy from Colorado
as my daughter had twins the evening before We hit T&T as it was recommended by my son in law.
This place rocks!
Not knowing anything about the menu and brews, the Mgr, Meghan sent over a sampler of nachos with some crazy cheese dip. Just sent it over with a couple samples of beer to try out.
We both agreed that the Broken Knuckle porter was off the charts great! My wife and I both had the Indiana pork tenderloin sandwich….hers with onion rings and mine with fries…hot. crispy and just seasoned enough.
Awesome cold beers, fun atmosphere and insanely great food. Cool people working there as well as the patrons. 5 stars all day long!
Big Kudos to Meghan. She knows how to make the customer feel valued.
Definitely hit it again when we’re visiting friends and family.

3.5 honestly. Stopped in for an early dinner before our son’s baseball game. Lots of TVs and the bar looked pretty big, so probably a great place to watch a game. Bathrooms were pretty dirty. Server was friendly. Menu was a standard bar menu. My burger was good, well seasoned and cooked. Fries were average to me but my wife really liked them. She got the Philly and said the flavor was good but the beef chunks were too big (definitely not chopped steak). She also loved the ranch. Beer menu was ok, they had one of about every type. Looked like they had a nice cocktail menu. All in all we would definitely go back to drink, would not rush back for food.

Absolutely amazing. Our waiter was amazing which made the whole experience amazing. Food was delicious and huge plates. For desert you can’t go wrong with the cookie. Great prices also. Food comes out very quick.

This place is awesome! All the way around!
If I had to find one thing not perfect, sometimes when you set in the bar area, you might have to ask for silverware LOL

Great selection of food at a reasonable price. I ordered wings (root beer bbq) – fantastic! Their pickle fries are also really good. Service was very good even though it was very busy.

We started our meal with the Buffalo Chicken Dip appetizer. Although the dip was thicker than anticipated it had a truly delicious buffalo flavor. The Tortilla Chips were light, crispy and salty. My son ordered the Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Wrap. He was surprised to see that the Buffalo Chicken Dip was in a wrap because he wasn’t expecting shredded chicken. He was expecting chicken strips or tenders. The Queso Mac wasn’t that appetizing. The sauce was far too thin, the blue cheese gave the sauce a strange flavor and tomatoes didn’t add anything flavor wise. That was not enjoyable at all. The Boneless Wings in the Mild Buffalo Sauce were very good. Crispy exterior, juicy and meaty on the inside, and smothered in a tangy Buffalo sauce. I truly enjoyed the Indiana Hot Tenderloin. A thick and tender piece of pork tenderloin in a crispy coating and smothered in a sweet and hot sauce, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. A truly delicious sandwich that is extremely filling. The French Fries were crispy on the outside, and soft and creamy on the inside. A fun and vibrant atmosphere especially with the classical rock playing in the background. Also, our server was friendly and attentive.

We’ve gone twice now, and it’s been a great experience both times. Atmosphere is casual, prices are reasonable, and portions generous. Susan our waitress was fantastic! Food came out quickly, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. We’ll be back!
