A gem in Mountain City, TN….we always look forward to dining in rustic elegance at Tributary. Excellent chef’s gourmet selections from chicken, steak or seafood. Not your ordinary fare. Tonight I had the Artichoke encrusted flounder with Panko crumbs, a hint of parmesan and fresh tomato….it was light and melted in my mouth. My husband loved the scallops, home baked fries. Finished the evening with a scrumptuous chocolate mousse, raspberry cream cake. We are repeat customers and no matter what we order it has always been excellent!

You won’t find food like this anywhere else in Mtn. City, or NE Tennessee for that matter. Try the fried green tomatoes, brie and apple quesadillas, and DEFINITELY get dessert. The staff is beyond kind and ready to make sure you have a great experience. Love the Tributary, it’s truly a one-of-a-kind gem!!!

I first tasted Tributary’s fabulous cuisine at the Follow the Quilt Trail 10th Anniversary Weekend Celebration dinner. Dinner was served on the grounds of Embree House Historic Farm in Telford, TN in early October next to Little Limestone Creek. I’m not certain if the food enhanced the setting, or the setting influenced the food, but let’s just say I’ve seldom enjoyed a meal more than the one I had that day. Pumpkin soup, pork, an exquisite dish with fried green tomatoes and grits, dessert made with bourbon…oh, my. So yes, I give it five stars,not only because they catered it, coming to Telford from Mountain City and still producing masterpieces, but also because the dishes were creative and made from local produce.

This has got to be the best place for fine dining in MC. Food is great, service the same. Price is high but to be expected. If you drove somewhere else the cost would be higher for the same thing because of gas.

Love the restaurant, food, and staff. Great burgers! However the hours aren’t carved in stone and I often find it closed when it is supposed to be open. Tonight is Friday and they are closed.

My daughter and son in law came in from Wisconsin and my wife and I decided to take them out to dinner we seen all the good reviews from Tripadvisor and figured we would give it a try , so we get there and read the specials on their board outside and my son and law and I got the lobster … Very disappointed we literally got 3 bites of lobster for $26.99 I would expect not to leave still hungry… my wife’s steak was over cooked and NOT med rare like she ordered and it was tough … We spent almost $100 and will NEVER go back to this place again…

Our family use to eat here regularly, unfortunately they changed their hours of operation making it impossible for us to dine here. However this is a good meal if you can catch it open.
