We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant! It’s a diner/southern feel. Our waitress was attentive and kind! The food arrives quickly, hot, and delicious! Everything was perfect! Pecan waffle had amazing texture! Sturdy enough to hold syrup, yet soft inside!

First off, my wife and I have eaten here for many, many years and have always loved the country ham and eggs with grits and toast. We stopped in there this morning and I ordered the country ham and eggs plate and O.M.G!!!!! The country ham was a pale multicolor brown looking color and not a pretty redish color as it usually is and it had a horrible spoiled meat taste to it and the eggs were way overcooked! I ordered them over medium and they came out well done with hard dry yolks!
Now, I’m 61 years old and have eaten country ham all my life and have even cured a few hams for myself, family and friends so I’m fully aware of what it’s supposed to taste like! When I spoke with the manager about the terrible taste she acted as if I had spit in her face! It tasted so bad it spoiled my appetite for anything else and she was going to take it off the check but when I went to pay she had only took off for the country ham and was going to charge me for the rest of the plate that I didn’t even eat because as I stated before the eggs were way overcooked! I told her that I shouldn’t have to pay for food that I didn’t eat and she said that I had to pay because they NEVER have any complaints about the food and I said well you DO today! Then she said this is a small family owned restaurant and can’t afford to throw food away and I then proceeded to tell her that both my wife and I were disabled, handicapped and I have a terminal illness and we live on FIXED INCOMES and couldn’t afford to pay for food that we didn’t get to eat because it tasted horrible and wasn’t right! She then cracked a very rude attitude towards me saying there!! I took it off and then she just turns around and walks off not apologizing about the bad food or her extremely rude attitude towards me, a loyal longtime customer who is now because of her never going to step a foot back in there again! I will say this, I have been a customer of this restaurant for many years and years and have NEVER had any issues or complaints about the food there especially the country ham but there’s a first time for everything and this time it wasn’t right so I politely brought it to her attention and it really made her mad and I should have never been treated in this manner by her!!
To the owners: You have always had great and delicious food especially my personal favorite and your signature country ham and eggs plate but I’m sorry to say that this time it wasn’t quite right and due to the way your restaurant manager treated and made us feel that we will no longer be frequenting your restaurant establishment anymore which makes us truly sad because we will certainly miss the great food! But employees like her whether management or employee should have, but most of the time tend to have less than stellar customer service and problem solving skills and due to their attitudes will run their customers off never to return again! That’s what happened today! We’ll never eat there again thanks to this so called manager!!

This place was well worth the stop! Inexpensive food, large portions and a friendly atmosphere made our morning. We didnt have to worry about the trailer bc there is a large dirt parking lot and easy access to 95.

This diner is a treat! A local gem, really friendly with staff who keep the coffee cup full, well answer questions about the menu, they will even make items off menu! I was happy with the all-veggie omelette with no cheese. The strawberry pancakes were fluffy and delicious, topped with fruit and strawberry sauce. I opted for no whipped cream, satisfying and delicious!!!

Delicious scrambled eggs. Pancakes are near the top of the line. Bacon is good. The hash browns have a good flavor but some are too burnt for my taste. Biscuit has good texture and flavor. Sweet tea has good flavor but slightly thin or watered down for my taste. Overall an excellent experience and great prices.

Everyone was friendly, the food was good and everything was nice and clean. I got the pecan waffle, it was great, they just put a BIG scoop of butter on it.

You must have breakfast here! It is like eating in your grandmother’s kitchen. Hot coffee, biscuits, country ham, and kind words from the motherly wait staff. Oh! Did I mention the price!! This place is very inexpensive and is a great value for travelers. We skipped the gross “free” hotel breakfast and had an enjoyable meal in a friendly place. Do not skip this place!

We stopped at this restaurant because we saw a billboard of this breakfast place on i-95 and wanted to give it a try. We were really impressed by the atmosphere, service and food! It is a family own restaurant, nothing to do with the Waffle House. Local people of Dunn come here for breakfast so it is like everyone knows each other, very warm and welcoming. Food was delicious, especially bacon and pancake. We would come back again if we drive pass Dunn on i-95.
