Excellent Food with kind staff. Took the twins, and got several great plates of food. I got a roast beef sandwich served open face with gravy, while the wife got a half steak sub. The roast and steak are house roasted and carved, and use the drippings to make the gravy.

The fries are served 3 ways: shoestring (think McDonald’s), hand cut (medium cut but fresh) and wedges (steak fries).

Also got the crab chips and dip. The chips are fresh cut potatoes with old bay and the dip is similar to sawmill gravy with chunks of lump crab in it.

Hands down the best steak and cheese sandwich – huge portion with toppings the way you want them – and don’t take a pass on their home cut fries. Great service from friendly servers…so yummy we went back twice!

The service was great. We ordered drinks that they don’t make regularly and they put their best foot forward. The atmosphere was a very nice small town vibe.

The food was good overall. Our steak was over cooked but the manager and owner were very nice and reasonable about the situation and offered valid solutions given the circumstances.

The dessert was large and delicious. I recommend the chicken Chesapeake and the fresh cut fries.

I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch today. The waitress handed me the menu, and I ordered a fish sandwich for $9, which, according to the menu, comes with chips and a pickle. However, she asked me about side options that weren’t part of the sandwich and led me to choose fries—without mentioning there would be an extra $3.75 charge. I only realized afterward that fries replaced the included chips at an additional cost. I felt misled and very disappointed by the experience. NOT Recommended.

My family and I had lunch here. It was our first visit to this restaurant. Ordered the breaded mushrooms and homemade chips and crab dip appetizers. So good. Kids had chicken tenders and fries, my husband had the open faced roast beef and fries, and I ordered the steak and cheese sub. Everything was very good! Will definitely be going back again.

Wow! What a surprise in the middle of a small town in the middle of western Maryland. Excellent food (one of the best steaks I’ve ever had) and friendly service. Just a great dinner was had by both of us. Oh yeah…. and most delicious peach pie!! 🙂

First time stopping here. And last time stopping here. We got waited on quickly and received our drinks. Ordered our food which was a simple order. Several other people came in after us. They got there food before us as we waited for 45 minutes? Still no food so we paid for our drinks and left.
