Had a wonderful experience at Tres Potrillos Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar on Chagrin Blvd. After having a good time at the restaurant during the first visit, I visited again. So, this review is a sum of two visits with my brother. The ambience is authentic and gives you Mexican vibes, with stone walls and a welcoming atmosphere. Once seated, you get a bowl of chips and fresh salsa. I could never stop with a few. They are so good! We ordered guacamole dip for the chips, and it came in a cute-looking stone bowl. The guacamole tasted fresh and paired well with their chips. The Veggie Tacos from my order had three corn tortillas filled with zucchini, squash, corn, mushrooms, red and green pepper, queso fresco and spicy sauce. It came along with a bowl of beans that I opted(I’m not sure if they were red or pinto beans). Their Vegetarian Fajitas had grilled squash, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and tomatoes, served with rice, mashed beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and two tortillas. I liked everything I ordered. The portions from each dish were large. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the variety of flavorful options available. My brother ordered their Mini Taco Bites and Pollo A La Crema Y Espinaca. He said he enjoyed them and that the portions were generous. The staff were polite and made us feel at home. The only gripe was finding a staff around the tables to place our requests. There’s convenient parking, which makes visiting this place easy and stress-free. This is a fantastic spot for great Mexican food and a fun dining experience!

Their service was very good and they had an interesting menu. However, some dishes shown online didn’t see the actual menu at the restaurant. Appetizer, Mini Taco Bites, was interesting and their Margarita was huge. I ordered Seafood Relleno and was a bit surprised because Chile pepper was not cooked. Also the description was a combination of shrimp, scallops, and crabs but it was mainly imitation/fake crab and some shrimp, and I didn’t get any scallops. My partner ordered El Manjar which was more interesting than mine. Since they have an interesting/unique menu, we will go back and try something else.

We had dinner here tonight during one of our last evenings in Cleveland before heading back home.
Since I’m in town for surgery and still wasn’t feeling 100% up to dining in, we opted for takeout. When we arrived to pick up our food, the restaurant had a great atmosphere and welcoming vibes. The staff was friendly and pleasant to interact with, and their extensive menu offered plenty of tempting options.
I ordered the Melting Chimichanga with cilantro rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The queso drizzled on top was the perfect touch, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
My mom chose the “Pick Two” combo with a chicken burrito and ground beef enchiladas — she found both dishes flavorful and loved her meal.
My step-dad went with the Chori Pollo, which he also really enjoyed. He mentioned that it would have been even better with an extra helping of queso.
The chips and salsa included with our order were excellent as well — fresh and full of flavor.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely visit again next time we’re in Cleveland. Thank you for a great meal!

We were visiting town for a concert and stopped here for dinner. We had spinach queso, enchiladas and vegetarian tacos. We enjoyed our dinner and the staff was friendly. Casual atmosphere.

I’ve been eating at Tres Portillos for over 10 years and it rarely disappoints. I love their chips and salsa to start, that’s a great start. I lost all the pictures over the years when I broke my phone. The staff there is always helpful and nice. Definitely will get done pictures added when I go next time. Gives me another reason to go back, like I need one

The people at the front were welcoming and the place is beautiful. I was with a friend for her birthday dinner. The margaritas were pretty good. We both ordered Fajitas Texanas and queso sauce for the tortilla chips.
The first issue is that the fajitas didn’t come out sizzling which is kind of the point of getting fajitas, especially on your birthday. We were very puzzled by that. Despite that, the plates were beautiful, but there were issues. The flavor was fine, but the steak and chicken were extremely overcooked, very dense. The shrimp were cooked fine. With the toppings they only offer a tiny bit of sour cream that is drizzled over the lettuce. While aesthetically pleasing, it just wasn’t practical when building with the tortillas. We asked for more and they brought it. I didn’t finish my meal and I didn’t take it to go, it just didn’t hit the spot for me. Oh and we never got the queso sauce. I think the server may have forgotten. Unfortunately we are unlikely to return.

Phenomenal food, atmosphere and service! So many great options for gluten free and even vegetarian! I got the avocado tacos on the corn tortillas and the amount of fresh avocado on each taco was very impressive. Everything was so good here! Highly recommend. Also, they bring individual salsa cups for each person which is great for preventing germs. I loved not having to share the same bowl with others. They really thought of everything here! Check them out if you’re in Cleveland!

Don’t be fooled, this is called authentic Mexican to differentiate itself from all the other Mexican restaurants and to justify charging 20% more for their food.
You’ll get the same exact thing here as you will at comparable Mexican restaurants, except you’ll pay more here.
Our server was so soft spoken that we couldn’t hear a word she was saying and she refused to speak up. Atmosphere was good on a Friday night.
Chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas left a lot to be desired. The chicken and steak was stringy and dry. Someone else ordered a steak and it was cooked well done even though they asked how they wanted it and they said medium.

I’ve been here twice. I truly enjoyed myself. We celebrated some special occasions and the food was Amazing. The service is great quality, great energy, & they make some bomb margaritas. We did the flights for the first visit and the second one we did Weds Margaritas special (Thank Me Later). We enjoyed the tacos and we’ll definitely be back again. The Churros were bomb & fresh. I look forward to trying more of the specials and glad to find another quality food spot in Cleveland.
