One of the Best Mexican Restaurants in Georgetown. We really like their steak and chicken Fajitas. Not greasy like most places. Service is good..Food usually comes out fast. Dishes may arive at different times which if my husband gets his first he is done b4 I get mine -LOL. Wish they would serve everyone at the table at the same time. Sometimes servers have a hard time understanding English so just be patient. They will fix it if you ask. Margaritas are excellent.

Not your normal Mexican restaurant, in a great way! They have a menu full of creative dishes that indicate they have very talented chef in the kitchen. Our food was awesome and so was the service. I will certainly be returning the next time I’m in Georgetown. Try their chef specials, absolutely amazing. I wanted to try their dessert too but I was too full by that time, maybe next time. While you wait to be seated, look at the pictures of the menu items that are displayed on the monitor.

Another great visit. I had the salmon salad. It was awesome!! So good. Staff is so very friendly and prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I’m attaching a photo – taken after I had a nibble (or two – or three) so pic doesn’t fully do it justice.

Our first visit to the restaurant was very soon after they had opened, and my review reflected that. The kitchen has definitely gotten it together, as we have now been back 3 times recently after saying we would not eat there again. Tres Amigos has rapidly risen to the top, at least in our opinion, as the best among Georgetown’s Mexican restaurants. Their menu is creative and we are enjoying making our way through it, as there are so many entrees to try that are a detour from the typical fare offered locally. Service is outstanding!

Great food and service. Chips and salsa pretty much sat down with you and food was served shortly after we ordered would recommend and will come back.

Living locally means I come here more than I’d like to freely admit.

Dishes I enjoy:
Baja Chicken Tacos – marinated chicken bites wrapped in freshly made corn tortillas topped with an aioli and pickled onions. This dish is easy on the stomach and quick to eat. If you’ve got picky eaters or want something safe this is the one to go with.

Tamales – one or three, these bad boys are large and in charge …and delicious. It’s like a mini burrito made out of corn dough with a pork filling. It’s topped with pickled onions, an aioli and pork bits. These are legit tamales, reminds of back home in Texas.

Mexican Flautas – most people will know these as taquitos. Rolled tacos stuffed with meat and fried until crispy. Comes with rice, beans, a small salad and a side of guacamole and sour cream.

Birria Enfrijoladas – The picture I included with this review. If you like braised short rib meat and corn tortillas topped with a creamy refried black bean sauce then this is the dish to try. It’s pretty tasty.

Appitizers:

The guacamole, it’s chunky and fresh.

Fiesta Dip is really good. A good comparison would be like that Velveeta Rotel dip with ground beef people make at home but this tastes way better. And try it with plantain chips it comes with. It sounds weird but you won’t regret it (fried banana chips).

Fajita Nachos – no explanation needed.

Pros:
– Atmosphere is friendly
– Service is quick
– The prices are extremely reasonable comparing against fast food. You can order for pickup here and you get more bang for your buck.

Con that is also a Pro
Personally, I feel like the portions are too big. We always end up having to take food home because it’s just a lot. Take that for what it’s worth it’s just a personal observation.

In any event, try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Food was great. I love their blood marys! Atmosphere is decent, just always loud because of the crowd.

We were hustling passing through and found this place. It was close closing. They were still very kind and our waitress was so quick with getting our food out. Everyone greeted us. The food was so good.

I ordered the Burrito Supreme and it was amazing! I added a picture of it below. The Pico on the burrito was amazing! Lastly, the queso for the tortilla chips were great!
