A True Taste of Louisiana: Exceptional Flavors and Southern Charm
If you are craving authentic Creole and Cajun flavors, this restaurant is an absolute gem. It manages to capture the heart of Louisiana through a thoughtful menu, welcoming service, and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.
The menu is a refreshing mix of traditional staples and interesting culinary twists. Restaurant offers good value for the quality you receive. The portions are generous, and the pricing is quite reasonable.
We really liked baked oysters and signature Crawfish Pie.
The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu.

This restaurant is inside the Intercontinental hotel. The service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. The food was delicious overall. We ordered the oyster plate, gumbo, BBQ shrimp and grits, bread pudding, and beignets.
The BBQ shrimp and grits wasn’t really my thing, but everything else was amazing. It’s a great spot to come with friends, enjoy good food, and just hang out and chat.

I had the gumbo followed by the crawfish pie. Had a local beer with it and finished the meal with key lime pie. All were delicious. My server was attentive and offered suggestions when asked. Check the photos for atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself here.

Wow! Great food, fun ambiance, and excellent service! There’s a nice patio outside with a privacy fence; we had it to ourselves with some poppin’ music – great spot! Bryan was a very attentive server and the other staff members were wonderful as well!
Highly recommend the oysters and Louisiana Crawfish Pie!!
At first glance we weren’t sure if it’d be kid friendly, but they had a super cute and sturdy kids menu to color, plus crayons, and they had high chairs and booster seats too. They were great with our two young children!

Love this place!! We ate here two nights in a row. The crab cake dip was delicious. The stuffed chicken wings literally made me realize that cooking can be an ART. My dad & brother had the oysters & loved them. Our shucker both nights was super friendly & genuine in their conversation. The happy hour prices were the cherry on top. I love this place!

A stylish and bustling restaurant of modern Louisiana cuisine on the first floor of the Intercontinental Hotel. The baked oysters and Louisiana Crawfish Pie were delicious and authentic! The service was a bit intrusive.

Went for happy hour. Super nice bar staff. The Gator Bait cocktail I could drink about 65 of those—nice bit of spice. Great oysters. Standout of the night was the stuffed chicken wings, which had so much going on in each bite.

I’m blow away at how good the food is here; if you’re staying at the Intercontinental, I recommend stopping in if you’re too tired to venture out. I had a long day of traveling and didn’t feel like leaving the hotel. The short ribs are some of the best I’ve had. Steve is a great bartender as well; it was a great experience overall

This was honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in my life. Seeing so many great reviews, I decided to try it out and am SO glad I did! We ate here 3 times during our visit to NOLA, it was so good. The gratin oysters were one of our favorites, and the bread pudding. But the real showstopper of this place is the crawfish pie. Everything about it was perfect. It comes with pepper jack grits but I got extra on the side because they’re delicious. The staff here clearly put admirable attention and care into their food and service, and it shows. If you try anything from Trenasse, the crawfish pie is a must!
