Welcome to Taste of Trelawny! We are a casual family-friendly restaurant serving Jamaican inspired cuisine. We are bringing a taste of the Caribbean to Fredericksburg, Virginia. The results are popular favorites such as jerk chicken, curry chicken and oxtails made in a way that brings out all-natural flavors. We are located at 100 Randolph Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia 22405 or you can order online for delivery. All of our Jamaican food is made from scratch with traditional Caribbean cooking methods. Our entrees includes curry chicken, jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, jerk pork, and oxtails made in a way that brings out all the natural flavors.

We stopped in cause of a referral from a friend. Glad we did. It was amazing. I had Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken. And a beef patty. Hands down Delicious. The service was amazing. Cassie was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend a visit especially if you’re looking for fresh and delicious food. And its in Fredericksburg. We will definitely be back.

I ordered my food for pickup so I have not physically been to the restaurant. I having sick for a few days and I’ve really been craving a taste of home. I was looking around for a Caribbean restaurant and they popped up. I tried to order online but they’re online ordering is not set up yet as they have recently changed their name. So I called and spoke to Cassie she immediately understood that American food was just not going to cut it and told me that they were the best in town. I ordered their top two dishes oxtail and jerk chicken. They both came with peas and rice and plantain and I ordered the cabbage on the side. I was not disappointed the oxtail was juicy falling off the bone while season. The peace and rice taste like what my grandma used to make. I felt like I was home I might called felt better. I will definitely be visiting this place again if you understand Caribbean people good food that is made well can soothe your mind heart and soul this place did it for me. Sorry I couldn’t post a pic of my daughter’s food cuz she got the jerk chicken she ate it all before I could get a chance.

First time here, & I wanted the Escovitch but unfortunately they didn’t have any. I got the spicy jerk chicken with rice & peas & cabbage. Honestly, I was surprised at how good the food & customer service was. I definitely will be back. The spicy jerk chicken was definitely spicy too, the flavor was 10/10. The cabbage had a really good flavor & was not over cooked & I could honestly eat the rice & peas by itself. Definitely was not expecting the food to be so flavorful.

I had an amazing experience at Trelawny Infusion! The food was absolutely great — full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the authentic Caribbean infusion in every bite. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and well-prepared.

Great cuisine however yester I went there and ordered the coco bread it was so hard I tapped it on my kitchen counter and it sounded like a rock. Hopefully it will be soft next time. Also they didn’t give me my cabbage. Im going back today! Great food.

I’m so glad we hit the winery last night and this wonderful food truck was there. Absolutely the best jerk chicken and pork I’ve had. The wife had the brown stew and it was fantastic. The rice was amazing and the cabbage was pretty good.
I would have put a bit more flavor in cabbage but I also ate two helpings so I should just shut up 🙂 Seriously, the food was amazing, the gentleman that took our order was engaging and helpful.
Now I know there’s a restaurant that I can go grab an order anytime I want. Thank you, it was delicious!!

0/10 experience — completely unacceptable.
Taste of Trelawny in Fredericksburg, VA refused to give me a refund after telling me after I paid that they were out of the product. This situation could have been easily avoided if they had stated they were out of the item before taking my payment.
When I requested a cash refund, they refused and claimed the charge was “pending” and that I would have to wait 3–5 business days. However, the transaction has already cleared on my bank’s side, and the money ($47.99) has been taken out of my account. As of now, I still have not received my refund.
The customer service was absolutely horrible. The kitchen staff and who I’m assuming was the owner were nasty, rude, and completely unprofessional about the situation. I called multiple times afterward, and they did not answer my calls.
This was unacceptable behavior, and no customer should be treated this way. I would not wish this level of service on my worst enemy. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone.

Either they were low on staff or something else because I was served a $35 plate of mediocrity. I ordered the Jerk Chicken / Ox tail combo plate with a side of rice and sweet potato.
The chicken was tough and dry even though it was resting in the jerk sauce. The ox tail was tender and melted off my tongue, which was beautiful. A shame both the chicken and ox tail was bland. Somehow the rice had more flavor than the meat. Sweet potato was ok. The only thing I can taste from the jerk sauce was heat and nothing else. No sweetness, no saltiness, and especially no umami.
It’s embarrassing that Publix had better jerk chicken than this Jamaican restaurant. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt if I was to arrive sooner and had fresher food. The quality of food I was served is trash.

We ordered food to go here earlier today. It was so good we definitely will be going back. We visit Jamaica a few times a year. We love the food there. So it’s nice to be able to get it here in the US. I had the jerk chicken and my husband had the red snapper. The price was good and so was the portion size.
