Recently visited the Bagg Lunch and found it to be a pleasant experience overall. The hostess greeted us warmly, and the waitress provided attentive service throughout our meal. While locals may rate it higher, as a traveler, I would suggest a rating around 4.1-4.2. The food, reminiscent of classic diner fare, was decent. My brother ordered the Full Bagg Breakfast, and I chose the 1/2 Bagg, with a request for a substitution of pancakes for French toast, which did result in an unexpected additional charge of six dollars. It’s worth noting that prices here are slightly higher compared to similar establishments in the area, possibly due to limited seating and increased operational expenses. While I may not personally return, I understand the appeal for locals who appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere. Update: Thank you for the response, unfortunately there was a separate charge for french toast in addition to the charge for coffee, probably due to an error, which I should have brought to your attention at the time.

We are locals and have eaten there many times over the years. Today we shared the fried shrimp and clams with onion rings. Always a generous portion. Have you changed your method of coating before deep frying? It just doesn’t seem the same. The coating was very thick, almost like fritter batter. We have had the fried seafood and onion rings before and we don’t ever remember them being like that, but the batter was a bit too much.

Have visited many times.
Their service is always great.

I personally love their tuna sandwiches. Perfect amount of mayo.✌️

They also make great onion rings and patty melt is yummy!

It is definitely Canadian French inspired here; they make tortier (meat pies) which I know quite well growing up with my Memere’s pies.

I’m rooting for this place. I don’t mind eating here either and I find myself wishing that I could rank it higher. It’s just 3 star-worthy. I’d love to rank it better to help this diner (which appears to have a large kitchen) but I’m offering an unbiased opinion here it just leaves room for better. Serving generous food portions doesn’t necessarily equal better quality food. I’ve never left hungry. The staff are pleasant enough but the experience is simply average with the food slightly edging out only because of my first time in. So for now it’s inconsistent for me to rate higher. My first time eating there was my best experience but since then I’ve been 4 for more times since. Lacks a bit of life.

Locals hangout…we fit right in. Elders, babies and everyone in between!

Sat at the counter in comfortable
highbacked chairs and met with a smile.
Check out the pics…
We opted for ice coffee. Very good…not to strong.

Breakfast choices are excellent and the portions are large.
CRISPY shredded hash browns made they way they should be, HOME FRIES were the same ❤️.

HOME MADE BAKED BEANS were delicious.
WESTERN QUICHE was a perfect choice and the MEAT LOVERS OMELETTE w/ mozzarella and American cheese was a hit.

Not pictured (to go and ate in the car) a grilled to perfection BROWN SUGAR & CINNAMON MUFFIN…buttered crusty goodness outside with a moist inside…YUMM!

BTW…the pancake orders we saw going out were gigantic frisbee sized offerings.

This is LOCAL and doesn’t get any better. Give them a try for breakfast or lunch!

Great family owned, local diner for breakfast! Service was excellent- considerate, hospitable, fast and efficient! I had breakfast (pictured): tried half order of biscuits and gravy with the “full Bagg breakfast” (includes 3 eggs, potatoes, & toast; short stack of pancakes that are HUGE)!! Food was delicious and enough to feed 2 adults and a child- seriously! Again, warning- pancakes are HUGE (blueberries and choc chips in batter)! Will definitely be back to try the lunch menu- I’m told they have the best fish in town, but it’s only served on Friday as it is brought in fresh day of! Enjoy

Food was very good and the waitress was lovely. The only drawback was our table was right in front of the door and there was a cold breeze every time someone came in. There was a short wait for a table.
I would recommend they put a small, low wall to block the wind from the doorway.

Great diner atmosphere. Food is really good, and the prices are very reasonable.

They don’t make their own corned beef hash (or at least it doesn’t seem like it to me), but they do cook it well. I love me a good Irish Benedict, and they do a good job with it.
