Been a few years since our last visit and this is still the wonderful little gem we remembered. Located in the Hunters Ridge Business Center off of SW Roy Rogers Rd in Sherwood, this spot blends both Creole and European influenced entrees with a open inviting dining space and wonderful service. When it works, it works well! We really looking forward to coming back more often this year. And, as always, don’t forget to support local and small businesses in your area!

Upon arrival, the restaurant’s setting, framed by beautiful trees, immediately created a welcoming atmosphere, and the name of the establishment felt perfectly suited to its natural surroundings. However, the experience faltered slightly from there. Despite a brief wait to be seated, we opted for the outdoor patio, which unfortunately felt a bit underwhelming due to the proximity of apartment buildings overlooking the area. This detracted from the otherwise pleasant ambiance.
While the cleanliness of both the indoor and outdoor seating could have been improved, the service was adequate, though our server came across as overly casual and not particularly personable. The highlight of the meal should have been the food, but we had to send the pork chops back as they were undercooked. On the plus side, the presentation of each dish was appealing, and my own meal was satisfactory, though not remarkable.
Parking was convenient with easy access to the restaurant, which was a positive note in an otherwise mixed experience.

We have ordered takeout several times at Trees and it was always great but a week ago we ordered and it wasn’t so great. I did let them know when they emailed me about how they did but there was no response. We were having a birthday dinner. We ordered salmon which people in my family said not nearly as good as it used to be, and one person had Tangipahoa Salad which he said was good (yay) but the really miss was the gumbo. My son was very disappointed with his food, saying it watery and not much flavor. Also for the amount of money I spent, the portions were teensy and the boxes the food came in were very flimsy. Just overall not a good experience and we don’t plan on going back. (I made my son gumbo a few nights later and it was MUCH better than this by the way.)

OMG! Absolutely fabulous restaurant and great food. Our server, Amber was wonderful in her recommendations for a special birthday lunch. The shrimp & grits are out of the world! Delicious is an understatement, a must have! The French dip was tender and cooked just right! But a must have is the chocolate mint cake! This cake was divinely marvelous and so yummy! Highly recommend this quaint restaurant and kudos to the chef and our fabulous server, Amber! Can’t wait to go back!

I was extremely excited to try this restaurant for the first time because it said it was the best Italian food in Sherwood. Extremely disappointed food was bland no flavor. I never write reviews but it is important because it’s not worth the trip except for the beautiful view and outdoor seating.

Pros: beautiful location, the interior renovation was done well. Feels very friendly and a little upscale.

The cons: the flies. I ordered a bourbon and within a minute we were swarmed with no less than 20 fruit flies flying in our faces and around the table. When food arrived, so did the regular flies jumping around the table. We spent more time swinging at them than eating our food. Additionally, I had asked for a medium rare steak, and it came out almost well. I ended up eating it anyway because we’re just wanted to leave by this point. Unfortunate because it has great views and otherwise great reviews. Maybe our experience was just a one off.

Just flew in from Houston and got the food to go. The patio was gorgeous, and I’m sad to have missed that. The food was excellent. I got the blackened catfish with grits and cabbage. I need the recipe for the cabbage!

Very nice restaurant, and very good food. We had Gumb-Oli, pulled pork sandwich, clams, and house salad. The lemonade was not very sweet, which I liked. But if you want sweet lemonade, this is not it.

Good comfort food with nice presentation. The highlight of the dinner was the beer that tastes like watermelon from a local brewery!

Eating outside under the trees is a must BUT the tables are a mesh metal so any spills, drips or crumbs will end up on your lap!
