First time buying here and the quality is very poor. The batter on fish isn’t even batter its tasteless. If I wanted burnt chips and all of the small scrappy leftovers I wouldn’t be coming here !
Quality over quantity dont rush cooking orders as you compromise the end product.
Not coming back wasted my $44 odd bucks not worth it.

We recently moved to Brisbane and I went to this place to get our Christmas seafood because it looked good and advertised “fresh seafood”. Everything had been frozen, the bug and crabs were terrible and FAR from fresh, prawns marginally better. Service was terrible from the guy who took my phone order being unhelpful and seemed quite inconvenienced by my call, to my arrival when the order wasn’t even ready at the agreed time (they were not busy… a red flag at Christmas). Would never ever go back.

I ordered fish and chips for the first time. Though the chips were fine but the fish tasted horrible. Somehow there was this smell coming from the fish – I think it was beyond use date. I don’t think their claim that it is trawler fresh seafood is correct. When a customer pays whatever the price has been quoted, it is also the duty of the restaurant to serve a fresh, tasty and good food. Not serve for the sake of selling.

The calamari rings were juicy, soft and crunchy on the outside, the fish fillets were okay, not a lot of flavours. The chips were a big let down, should consider changing the supplier, not crispy at all, not enjoyable to eat.

Very disappointing after giving a 10/10 on many occasions. Tonight as usual got the seafood pack cod chips coke & 2 potato scallops. Fish certainly not cooked chips as cold also very soggy. Potato scallops I reckon they’ve been cooked more than once.

Ive been coming here for 5 years now and not once have I had and experience like today. But have had a few bad experiences but have let it slide. But not this time.This is my fish burger combo I bought 2 of them. I come here atleast twice a week. Very disappointed in my meal today. Only had 2 pieces of fish which one was almost just batter. Almost don’t want to go back after today’s experience. $32.00 for just a bun and salad. Get it sorted Trawlers

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after multiple experiences picking up Uber Eats orders from this venue, I feel it’s important to give honest feedback — particularly for other delivery drivers and customers who rely on timely service.
The wait times for Uber drivers at Trawler Fresh Seafood are consistently excessive and poorly managed. Orders are frequently marked as “ready” in the app, yet upon arrival drivers are told to wait anywhere from 15 to 30+ minutes. This is not a one-off incident — it’s a repeated pattern.
There appears to be no prioritisation or workflow for delivery orders. Walk-in customers are regularly served first, even when drivers have already been waiting for extended periods. When drivers politely ask for an update, the responses are vague, dismissive, or simply “it’ll be a few more minutes,” which often turns into much longer.
For Uber drivers, time is income. Standing around unpaid for long stretches makes these pickups financially unviable. It also impacts customers, who end up receiving food late, sometimes cold, and understandably frustrated — even though the delay is entirely out of the driver’s control.
What’s most disappointing is the lack of accountability or communication. If the kitchen is backed up, don’t mark orders as ready. If there’s a delay, be upfront about realistic timeframes so drivers can decide whether to wait or reassign the order. Basic transparency would go a long way.
There are plenty of busy venues that manage delivery orders efficiently and respectfully — unfortunately, this isn’t one of them. Until significant improvements are made to how Uber orders are handled, I’ll be avoiding pickups here, and I’d strongly suggest other drivers do the same unless they’re prepared for long, unpaid waits.
Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because the current setup is unfair to drivers and ultimately bad for customers as well.

Don’t be put off by the tattered look of this place. They have the freshest seafood in Brisbane! We “dine in” at the table’s outside and apart from the pigeons it is fine. Small but easy parking. The grilled Barramundi is flavourful and succulent, the calamari rings are prefect and the crumbed sea scallops while pricey are worth it. We go there monthly and they have never let us down.

Food was fine but really poor service. The woman who served me was unexpectedly rude when I asked for fresh prawns, making me repeat it several times and then leaving the store without serving me(!). The young guy that served me after was good, unfortunately the initial rudeness will stop me coming back. The other staff were fine.
The fresh seafood is mostly from overseas and standard pricing.
The cooked food I ordered was nice but expensive – if you are ordering pickup, don’t do it through Menulog as the price is much higher eg burger was $18.90 instead if $12.90 instore and potato scallops were $3 each instead of $2.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile but there’s much better fish and chip shops around with better service and quality.
