Went on a Saturday night for a solo date and it was very quiet. The staff were all very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was cozy and dark, just the vibe I was in the mood for. I was craving lasagna and the pictures I saw online caught my attention. The nachos were interesting, I thought it had too many textures that didnt really go together. But I appreciated the server recommending a half portion, the full would have been way too much! And I was only charged half portion so that was a nice touch. The balsamic roasted brussel sprouts, lasagna and cannoli were okay. Seemed to be missing flavor to me. But the portions were large and gave me an additional two meals. The Cosmo martini was also just okay…again good portion though. I would try this place again, hoping the blandness was a one time thing.

Had lunch at Travinia yesterday. My usual order is the crab dip appetizer. I also ordered a salad with blue cheese dressing. Loved every bit of it. My friend ordered The fried ravioli appetizer and Alfredo with chicken. She loves it. This is my 3rd visit to this establishment and will be back again. Highly recommend.

Went here for a birthday and service was absolutely great. There was a slight wait but thats to be expected the week of Thanksgiving. Food was fresh and delicious! Been here several times and its always a great time. If you want a nice Italian dinner with great service and atmosphere this is a great place!

We ordered spaghetti to share as we just missed the cut off for the lunch menu. Our whole reason for selecting this restaurant was the availability of gluten free options which they definitely have plenty of and clearly marked on the menu.

The cheapest meal option for dinner is $18 for 3 vegetable sides. $20 for spaghetti with meat sauce.

The atmosphere is incredible, this would be a really great spot for a date night or special occasion.

Since we only got one dish I can’t give it a true food review but the sauce was herby and flavorful with maybe a pinch too much pepper. The noodles were corkscrew and tasted similar to many of the boxed gluten free pasta options you find at the grocery.

Back in Sept (2025) I was in Columbia, SC with family yet again! On a Tuesday afternoon a few of us decided to slip away for an afternoon lunch and elected to give Travinia a try.

Upon arrival @ 2pm the large restaurant was fairly empty with the exception of only a few tables/booths. Was this a sign to turn around an abort the lunch mission? Thankful, the emptiness was not a sign of anything ominous. Lol.

We were promptly seated at an intimate booth and served by the oh so pleasant Shannon. She was extremely sweet and informative, as this was the first time trying out Travinia for each of us.

We started with calmari for the table. We were speechless by how delectable it was. The mix of assorted pickled peppers with in the perfectly fried tentacles and the marinara, also with a little heat was so good. We honestly consider a second order.

A couple of us started with Blood-Orange lemon drops and decided to select options from the lunch menu. We each ordered one chicken pesto Sando and one chicken parm sub to swap and share. The third in the party went rogue and opted for spaghetti bolognese and a mini loaf of garlic bread.

Once entrées were served the table was silent… a sign that everyone was pleased. lol.

My choice was the chicken pesto and I swapped half for the chicken Parm sub. Both were good, however the chicken pesto by far was the front runner. The pesto was well-balanced with the right filling-to-bread ratio. It was simply just very tasty and I wish I didn’t agree to share the other half. The chicken Parm was ok, however, there was too much bread to chicken parm ratio and it lacked a little flavor. Both sandwiches were accompanied by a side of pasta salad that was also enjoyed.

We all left full and happy and I look forward to returning when I’m inevitably bullied into visiting SC yet again.

Just A Note:

After review of the menu, they can be considered pricey. Nonetheless I suggest giving them a try for lunch if you want to check them out and definitely opt for the chicken pesto sandwich.

Popular Italian restaurant in NE Columbia. They have a variety of dishes, that are Italian based but also some that are not. The Italians nachos are particularly good! The wonton they use are lighter than nachos, but hold the toppings just well. The server was great, offered great choices and was very available. Will definitely eat here again.

Great Italian restaurant. Stopped in Saturday for a late dinner. Food and drinks were good! Service was great! Very relaxing atmosphere. Even though it was late, close to closing, no one was rushing us. Always a good experience.

This is a very good restaurant. Although, for a first time visit, my expectations were not completely achieved. The service was outstanding. I ordered the pork ribeye with a garden salad. I was served baked bread rolls with butter on the side. That surprised me, as I’d presumed bread with olive oil and herbs beingan Italian kitchen. The mixed field green salad with Italian dressing was excellent. The pork ribeye was dissapointing in that much of it was inedible fat. The flavor of the pork was ordinary. The presentation was very nice. I will return.

I have started going to Trivinia’s regularly and I have never been disappointed with the service or the food. I am allergic to shellfish and when I see other guests getting those beautiful, golden brown crab croquettes, I get a bit envious. One day I asked Jefferson, the GM, to please prepare me salmon cakes. He had Tyrone, the chef, prepare them for me. My response, “They were the best I’ve ever had!” Seriously! They were perfectly seasoned and a perfect texture. Jefferson and Morgan, please consider adding these to the menu for those of us who are allergic to shellfish. And for those who like authentic bolognese, Trivinia’s is authentic. Hats off to Tyrone. Also, hats off to my favorite servers: Shannon, Katie, and Taylor R. And Stephanie is the best hostess.

We are an active duty military family and have been eating at Travinia’s from 2019-2022 and now again since August 2025. This one of our favorite “go-to” restaurants and we love it.

The one change, however, that has been made since we moved away and came back is the bread. The bread we were used to came with our meal at no extra cost and was a dense, crusty Italian bread that was perfect for dipping in the spices and olive oil. The bread served now costs $2.00 per loaf and is no longer included with your meal. It is also a very poor quality and very disappointing considering that this is a high end Italian Restaurant. We would gladly pay extra money for bread that was amazing!

This is our main feedback after returning to Travinia’s this year. I have stopped getting chicken dishes because to me they have seemed overcooked and therefore tough. I have not sent them back because I want to eat my meal with my husband.

The food and service are great overall and we keep coming back! We just don’t order the bread! ☺️
