I’m writing this review as I am in this establishment, as the experience has been so poor. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. To be fair, they brought us some complimentary sparkling wine for the wait and I was ready to forget about the inconvenience. However, even though the bar started to clear out, it still took 40 minutes until we were approached again. For those 40 minutes, we watched bartenders/servers be extremely proactive about cleaning up, but not paying attention to customers. We also watched a bartender sipping on what appeared to be whiskey, and he even took a seat at the bar for a minute to sip and sit as we looked around trying to get the attention of a server. We wanted to order a second drink, but decided not to because of the wait. Not sure if I will be back, even though the manager gave us his card and promised to make the next experience better if we texted him beforehand. Extremely disappointed.

The atmosphere was great ! The service and drinks were fantastic, specifically the “frisky” drink. The playlist was a whole vibe with pop punk music, until it got switched to elevator music. But, overall a really cool place to have drinks.

If you like your drinks alittle more strong than what you get at the store, you will love this place. The Old Fashion and the Fitzgerald is sweet and the rye is the best from the tasting menu. The waffle fries with BBQ sauce is the best of their pub food. You can even show your love for the place by buying clothes to wear. Only problem was not having diet pop for the non drinkers. Never had that problem at any other bar I have been to. Well, Cosmo is next door.

I love Traverse City Whiskey — it’s such a great staple in the Ferndale area! The atmosphere is always inviting, and Bartender Dave is especially friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic cocktails, also generous pours on curated flights of 4-5 whiskeys. Getsomething to eat from Como’s. Como’s Pizza is next door, and you can order through the bartenders at the Outpost. Great for running one single tab.

Great drinks that are reasonably priced in a very warm friendly atmosphere. This bar is a great addition to Ferndale’s drinking scene and has unique cocktails that of course use their delicious Traverse City whiskey. Im normally not a whiskey/bourbon kind of guy, but Traverse City whiskey is very tasty. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cocktail in a great environment.
