A Must-Try Kosher Italian Gem!

Trattoria is such a treat! From start to finish, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Shirley Temples were perfectly sweet and bubbly — the ideal start to our meal. The French onion soup was divine — rich, flavorful, and comforting in every bite.

Then came the nachos, which were nothing short of immaculate — perfectly crisp with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. For dessert, the tiramisu was exquisite, it had the perfect balance of sweetness, to fluffiness, to espresso and was simply incredible! The cheesecake was beyond airy and light — it practically melted in my mouth!

Everything tasted so fresh and was beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen puts real love and care into every dish. Trattoria is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again — a true kosher Italian gem! ✨

Great pizza. Light and crispy. Good flavor. Score 7.2 out of 10. For reference scores in the 8s means lines out the door and 9s is nationally famous so this is a great score.

Very nice place with beautiful decorations and authentic Italian atmosphere.
Cons first (there was only 1…)
The doritos (for the guacamole and the nachos) was a bit soggy and dry.

Pros:
Food was great, fresh and tasted good. Place got full at some point so make sure to make a reservation, all in all great place for a night out in a kosher environment and a great atmosphere, owner was there and was very active around the restaurant , he is a sweet nice guy who came to each table and had a small talk. Highly recommended.

While on a trip to LA from New York we were delighted to find this kosher gem! We needed some food that would nourish our souls after a long day and the fine food combined with the friendly service from the lovely owners, their family and our wonderful waitress Talia made this place exactly what we needed. The food tastes fresh, healthy and also decadent (beautifully plated and cooked to perfection) – like it was made in Europe. We ate incredible salmon, pizza, soup and salads as well as crème brûlée for desert and the ambience was lovely. Highly recommend.

I drive by this location on a regular basis and decided to stop by to grab a bite with my family. I definitely recommend checking out this restaurant it’s family-owned and operated and they definitely have some unique offerings on their menu. They are open late and have a pretty extensive wine selection.

Trattoria is reminiscent of a French bistro. Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Pico Blvd, we were pleased that they were open on Saturday night. Kosher eating has few options after Shabbat, so Trattoria gets points for that.

We ordered lots of stuff. The Shitaki Rigatoni was the fan favourite. They do a great job on the French onion soup, as you would expect from a fine French establishment. I would stay away from the Gnocchi. The pizza was unique and definitely worth a try.

We opted for the Ramon Cordova Rioja, it pairs well with pizza and pasta. That would be my only recommendation from the wine menu.

It is a bit overpriced, which is why I am giving it four stars, but the food is really good and I wish the service was a little better.

Here’s my full recommendation

Apps: Artichoke Dip, Nachos
Soup: French Onion Soup
Entree: Shitaki Rigatoni and any of the pizzas
Wine: Ramon Cordova Rioja
Dessert: Crème Boule or Chocolate Lava

The desserts are really something special. You can really taste the butter in the Chocolate Lava Cake.

Great food – we arrived earlier in the evening, and it got very crowded as we ate. By the time we left, there was a line halfway down the block waiting to get in! Service was good – didn’t rush us, but did came out very quickly. One item we ordered got lost in the shuffle, and our server felt REALLY bad about it, but was happy to remove the item from our bill, no problem. Great experience overall

A family held a brit milla (circumcision) party here on the second level, the stairs were very narrow and if you’re wheelchair bound, I don’t think it’d be possible to go upstairs. SIL hace twins and it was a chore to get the babies up with their strollers. Food was ok…
