We enjoyed a delicious and wonderfully prepped dinner here post our elopement in Stowe. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. My husband reached out to the restaurant and told them that we have a party of 10-14 guest and it’s on their peak fall weekend. They responded kindly and said to preselect our meals and send them our choices a week out and they will have food and appetizers taken care of. Prices were reasonable too. Our experience got even more special when they offered for us to use to their private dinning area it was a large room with one giant table. They even asked if we wanted any special decor or centerpieces which we opted for one because we are minimalists. They were also kind enough to let us drop our wedding cake and store it till dinner. Overall this place is INCREDIBLE!!!! The food was so very tasty. Our party was raving about the food. Here is what we tried…
Veal Parmigiana
Chicken Parmigiana
Eggplant Parmigiana
Chicken Carbonara
Shrimp Scampi
Bread baskets for appetizers
Charcuterie boards for appetizers

Overall we highly recommend this place!!! You definitely won’t be disappointed

I had dinner at Trattoria La Festa and was absolutely blown away. The lamb chops were out of this world — unbelievably tender, cooked to perfection, and without question the best lamb steak I’ve ever had in my life. Every bite was a reminder of how great food can be when prepared with real passion.
What impressed me even more is that it wasn’t just the lamb. Every other dish we ordered was outstanding, from appetizers to pasta, each one balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell this is a place that really cares about quality and consistency.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff added to the experience with attentive and friendly service. It felt like the perfect combination of fine dining and genuine Italian hospitality.
If you’re in Stowe, this is not just a recommendation — it’s a must. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Highly recommend! This was an amazing find. We were staying at the Top Notch Hotel and looking for a delicious meal out. This was definitely it! Items we recommend..Ceasar salad, eggplant, shrimp scampi, chocolate torte, cosmopolitan, and paper plane. The service was great, and his recommendations were spot on. Would definitely come back!

We had the best time eating here on our first night in Stowe. Bob, was our waiter and he was so kind. The veal chop was delicious! This is a come and take your time type of place. The atmosphere is very intimate and friendly. We will be back! And we also met a couple from Louisiana who now live in Stowe. It turned out the husband knew my husband’s grandmother and went to school with her 70 years ago in Louisiana! What a small world!

This restaurant is outstanding. We went in expecting good but probably not great Italian food. We were blown away by how good it is. The burrata was excellent, and for our mains we had the lobster ravioli special, the bolognese, and pescatore over paccheri. They were all fantastic. The Caesar salad is also incredible… very well done dressing. The wine selection is also great. The service and cozy atmosphere here is also top notch.

This was the first Italian restaurant we’ve dined in since a trip to Italy last fall that truly rivaled some of the places we tried in the boot! Can’t recommend it strongly enough. It’s a perfect meal after a long day of skiing!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The vibe was cozy and welcoming, the food was incredible. Got the melon & prosciutto salad, carbonara and 4th of July special + tiramisu and a delightful strawberry sorbet all made with love in house. We even saw a hummingbird outside during dinner, truly the cherry on top of a perfect evening. Can’t wait to come back.

While away on vacation with my boyfriend in Vermont, we decided to drop in for dinner and we definitely did not regret it! Not only was the food great but the service was phenomenal! Would recommend to anyone visiting looking for a good dinner spot! Pictured is the lobster ravioli & the ahi tuna plates. This restaurant deserves 5/5 stars & when we come back to visit Vermont again, this will be our restaurant to return to!

I’ve been writing restaurant reviews, as a patron, for decades – on Yelp or Trip Advisor and Google. My wife and I have been visiting Stowe, VT for over 20 years. Former skiers.
The new “Trattoria La Festa” is a real bright light on the restaurant scene in Stowe. The previous “Trattoria La Festa” was decent authentic Italian food in a comfortable atmosphere. I’m not sure there was any competition in the Italian food arena until Salute’ (previously “Gracie’s”) showed up.
But Rebecca Mc Cann and Jeff Ziegler have taken it to a whole new place in the Stowe culinary space.
My pistachio-encrusted Lamb ribs with an artistically rendered lime dip (I know that’s not the proper name) was the best I’ve ever had.
My wife’s Egg plant parmigiana was also as good as it gets.
Our bona fides? we are Italian extraction from NYC where over 50% of the restaurants are Italian , so we think we “know” authentic Italian food.
We get here once a year and stay at the von Trapp Family Lodge.
Have dinner at the Trattoria La Festa in Stowe. You’ll be glad you did!

PS: I really don’t like giving 5 stars because I always feel there is room for improvement, but 4 stars just seemed “too low” in this case

I do not even know where to begin! This is one of those hidden gems that you never forget! As soon as we walked into the door, we were greeted like family and they had our table waiting! Reservation system is flawless! From the moment we stepped into this wonderful restaurant, it was a 10/10! Each delicious course came out hot, bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly! In my opinion the BEST restaurant in Stowe, hands down! Cozy, family like atmosphere with something for everyone! Veal was outstanding and cooked so perfectly, juicy, tender and flavorful! Chicken parmigiana and veal parmigiana were also absolutely delicious! We had the most decadent desserts! Tiramisu like I was home again! Cheesecakes were out of this world and the chocolate torte is absolutely decadent! Could not have been a better experience! We will absolutely be returning!
