Trattoria Enzo in La Porte offers a commendable dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy, creating an inviting environment for a meal, and the staff were notably friendly and helpful throughout our visit.
The food was well-prepared and flavorful. We enjoyed the Farfalle Con Pollo, which features bowtie pasta with grilled chicken, crimini mushrooms, and asparagus tossed in a creamy gorgonzola sauce. We also selected two pizzas: the Rimini, distinguished by its pesto base, chicken, caramelized onions, and feta cheese; and the Marco, which offered a robust combination of sausage, hot cherry peppers, roasted garlic, and fontina (this pizza was a bit on the spicier side!).
It is a fun establishment and is certainly worth visiting again.

Our waitress, Kayla, was very polite, friendly and quick. She was great.
The bread was flavorless, the butter practically frozen, and the olive oil and grated cheese, ehhh.
The Arnold Palmer was good, as were the other drinks (chlorinated water if you like it).
The fried mozzarella and sauce were not great.
My brother enjoyed his Enzo salad with chicken. He sucked it down. The revrand’s angel hair with scampi was also very good, tho I noticed he didn’t finish all the angel hair. My bamboccio Pizza was forgettable. I ordered a to-go box but left it there. The tiramisu was so good. I couldn’t finish it, but I got as far as I could. Yum!

Was so excited to try this restaurant. Its a super cute place. The calamari was a bit off. Should not have a fishy taste but it did. However, the main course. Very good. I will be back next time in area. Many other things to try.

We had a reservation 10 days out for special occasion.. early in evening, and they sat us back by kitchen, so very noisy. Like we were ‘walk ins’. Service very rushed, even when we asked for dinner to be paced out. Hadn’t finished appetizer when salads arrived. After 10 minutes, dinner arrived!! My gosh, we can’t eat that fast! Ended up taking appetizer and salads home. Probably won’t go back.

We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner while in town for the Dia de Los Muertos Concert at the Civic Auditorium. Host team sat us quickly as we didn’t have a reservation, yet we’re very early before the dinner rush. The town seems to come out in force as the hostess said they were booked for the night!

We enjoyed their fresh baked bread and a Ceasar Salad to start. And then thr Spaghetti and Meatballs, Penne Pasta, and the Filet Mignon. I enjoyed am Old Fashioned, yet would have liked a different whiskey than the House selection….still was tasty.

If we do come back into town, we would enjoy another visit to try more of the menu. Next time, we know to get a reservation if we come at a traditional dinner time.

First time visiting Enzo. We had great service and the food was excellent. My husband got the Chicken Picatta and I got the Chicken Risotto. We had the salmon toast appetizer also and cocktails. The martini with tequila (can’t remember what it’s call) is spectacular. We did spend a lot but it was our 5 year anniversary. The menu items are reasonable. I think it’s a very affordable and delicious place to eat if you aren’t celebrating and buying all the drinks. Thanks for the great meal!

The food is to die for good. The service is stellar.
Noise ruins the experience.
Hard surfaces and no sound management means a fine meal is spoiled by deafening noise. You can’t carry on a conversation with people two feet away from you, so everyone screams louder. We arrived early, the dining room wasn’t full, we sat in a booth. It was still so off putting we could barely eat and had to pack up our food and leave. We were celebrating a birthday. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy our meal and get dessert.
Side note, not the restaurant’s fault, but for some reason, affluent people bring newborns and toddlers to fine restaurants and let them raise hell, like it’s a MacDonald’s playground, not a place where people are on dates and celebrating special occasions. I wish people were more considerate.

Would rate a 3.5 if possible. Staff was very friendly, we made reservations ahead of time and were promptly seated.

They served fresh bread with the Italian oil and cheese. Both the dishes we ordered were good but I felt for the price my portions were pretty small.

I order soup waited 15 minutes for them to come back and say they just switched over to another potatoe soup an didn’t have the one I ordered. Which tbh the new soup was not great, again for 6 dollars just wasn’t up to par.

We also ordered calamari which was way too chewy. Overall the dining experience was good but not as good as I had expected. Would def try again tho.

I love to support local business. The food is good. It’s not the best Italian food of my life but it’s good. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere is nice. I would recommend this place to someone looking for Italian food in LaPorte, IN.
