When Chef Carlo opened Trattoria di Carlo in 2002, he wanted a restaurant rooted in his family’s heritage. The recipes used in our kitchen started with Carlo’s grandmother, who brought her famous red sauce to the United States from Sicily. Many dishes on our menu re-create Italian recipes with contemporary flair – and the finest ingredients. We import our meats and cheeses from Sicily, but also uses local pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and veal, and when in season, vegetables from the restaurant’s garden. Everything in our kitchen is made from scratch. Custom orders for a small group are our specialty!

The staff was very friendly. The place looks amazing. Beautiful unique decor. The prices are great for the nice size portions. Then the food was absolutely amazing. We had a veggie pizza, fettuccine alfredo, Sicilian salad, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. We took manicotti to go. Everyone loved the food and were full.

I did absolutely love this place, I looked forward to my Wisconsin travels so I could have the pizza here, which was always excellent. Last night, 12-10-25, I took some staff for a Christmas dinner. My pizza was doughy, I sent it back, they remade it, still doughy. I am still leaving 5 stars on the food because it is usually fantastic. Here’s the problem, last night, the “owner “ came to our table. He was a super jerk. He was unbothered by the issue with my pizza and very bothered that I complained. His attitude was condescending and non- chalant. Our server was super sweet, but i will struggle to patronize this establishment again based on the unbelievable jerk that owns it. Do with this review what you will, I just want you all to know about the man behind the scenes.

My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day now he has been there in the past for their pizza and apparently they have amazing pizza. However, since it was Valentine’s Day, we got entrées so I would like to say that first of all the service was great. Our server was amazing. She was very kind. The atmosphere was OK. It was a little outdated , but it had that nice Italian style feeling to it now here’s the big problem. The food was subpar and I’m not even that picky when I tell you the sauce when you go to an Italian restaurant, it’s all about the sauce. The sauce was worse than watered down Ragu. It was terrible no flavor. It was awful. We ordered the artichoke dip. They barely gave us any and it was like $12 and some pieces of bread. I would say where they fall short is on their entrées and it’s about the pasta. It was terrible. The chicken Marsala was mostly breading, but the pasta was terrible and I’m not even that picky, but it was really really bad pasta sauce. Ragu has better which does not say much!

I had my Mom’s surprise birthday party here and they did a great job! The food was great and we had a private room for our event. Everyone loved the pizza! Frank, the owner even helped us pull off the big surprise. They were easy to work with and had great communication. Thank you so much for helping us plan this special event. This is one of my Mom’s favorite restaurants and now I know why! There was not a bad part of this visit. The servers were attentive and the food was fantastic! I love the look of the restaurant and every dish was as good as it looked! I understand that you might be too full to eat dessert after such a delicious meal BUT, they will happily pack your dessert “to go” ! No excuses not to enjoy one of their desserts!

We recently held a celebration of life for my mom in the private back dining room, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Planning an event during such a difficult time can be overwhelming, but Frank provided invaluable guidance. He helped us curate a perfect limited menu that included a wonderful selection of appetizers, diverse entree options, a great wine list, and delicious desserts. The food was outstanding and so was the service. Everything was truly great.

Honestly we came in at the bar and got drinks and an app before an event and had an amazing time. We decided we loved it so much we had to come back. Got an app and drinks, after the event the app was supposed to complement dinner but we waited at least 30 min between the two. Which I could totally overcome given how busy the were. But the carbonara was basically inedible based on how salty it was. And we love carbonara. The espresso martini was waaaaaaaay too sweet. It tasted like there was no actual espresso in it and normally we don’t order them without espresso included. I just left bloaded, not full & dissatisfied. Which is so disappointing because we had such an amazing experience with our wine and rice balls before the event. Whoever works Friday nights at the bar 20/10. Othetwise our experience after the event was a 4/10. Would not come back besides apps and drinks at the bar. Very friendly staff.

Service was great but the food was hit or miss. The pizza was fantastic at a good price point but the pasta and chicken dish was $28 and the chicken was cooked so poorly nobody at the table would eat it. The pasta was fine but not a $28 meal type of fine. Atmosphere was good but I expected a bit more given the prices.

My first two times here were a charm , but now upon my third visit I must go back and re edit my rating . This being I did not appreciate a comment made by the hostess that seated me
( Mid-aged female with blonde wavy textured hair just past shoulders – wears eyeglasses ). The comment made was in reference to my attire. Unless you have dress codes set in place for your guests , not only are these comments inappropriate but also unnecessary.
