The rest of the meal went as expected: place your order, wait for order, finish order, & repeat process.
The rolls were fine. I ended up ordering salmon nigri two separate times andwith the second order of nigiri, the slices of salmon looked off. Turns out they didn’t do a good job cleaning/slicing their salmon because mine still had connective membranes on the underside, making it very chewy. I had to spit it out. We also found 2 avocado stems in two separate rolls. Normally I wouldn’t say anything about finding stems in our food, but since my salmon was unpalatable, I decided to bring it up to our sushi chef, Din.
When I showed him the stems of the avocado, he was dismissive and replied, “oh, ok.” Then I showed him the salmon and said it was super chewy. I asked him if they usually cut salmon like this and he replied: “since we’re low on salmon, people just cut it in different ways. It’s not usually cut like this “
Not one apology or accountability for these miscues.
I was thinking to myself, why would be consciously serve nigiri like this?
We ended our dinner shortly after.

Visited Trapper’s Sushi in Silverdale to celebrate my son’s birthday, and as always it didn’t disappoint! This place has become our tradition every time I’m in town. Usually, we sit at the bar and enjoy the all-you-can-eat sushi, which is such a fun experience. But this time we sat at a table and ordered individual rolls and every single one was incredible.
The sushi was fresh, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. The rolls had the perfect balance of texture, spice, and freshness. Service was fast and friendly—everyone was super welcoming and made the whole visit feel special.
Whether you’re going for the bar or just a few rolls at a table, Trapper’s never misses. Highly recommend if you’re in Silverdale and craving quality sushi with great vibes!
Used to be good but the food has gone way down hill, and tonight i got food poisoning. Cost cutting measures have been aparent with tiny portions of the higher cost ingredients, or completely leaving them off, but now it’s so bad they are serving lower quality or old ingredients to the point it made me ill.
If i do ayce and request jake or shin, it’s awesome… any other scenario is a disaster. Starting about a year ago, experiences went down hill and i complained 3 of the last seven times it was awful. 2 assistent managers, and today the head manager… not once did anyone offer to comp a meal. I didn’t ask, but surprised no one offers even after learning of numerous bad experiences.
First was the most expensive roll with lobster came without lobster and the “warm scallops” on top were ice cold. Next was a Vader, tempura fried, that seemed to have been made hrs before and stored in a fridge. Then there was a time this summer with a rio grande special roll, had about 6 or 7 ingredients, came out missing 4 ingredients…4, it was basically spicy tuna, rice, and cilantro. No way the chef thought that was a complete roll. And it wasn’t they were out of any ingredients. After telling the server, it was replaced by a complete roll made by shin.
There were others, but jump to today and the tis the salmon had no salmon… little bits here and there between the tempura, but didn’t even have salmon flavor. I thought it was just poor prep, someone cut a small piece that got tore to sheds in the fryer. After getting sick i imagine it was so old it had dried up and shrank. There’s no excuse. I’m done giving them chances.
Our server was kind and professional, as well as the food being fresh, coming out fast, and extremely tasty.
The happy our menus are extreamly good in price. I am blown away with their performance ☺️ thank you guys so much.
