I love this place! Not only is the tea amazing, the staff is very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend getting a reservation, even if not required.

Young children can absolutely enjoy the experience, but be aware there are tea sets and some breakable items often nearby. So if your child prefers jungle gyms over playing tea with dolls and friends, they might prefer a park picnic. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place to take a tea loving child on a date.

For myself, I love either the Princess Tea or Queen Tea. The food is incredible.

Lastly, I do think they have a party pickup option- but I have never used it. I have checked out their little shop where you can buy your favorite loose teas and tea sets.

My sister and I have been taking our mother to celebrate either her birthday or Mother’s Day for years. I remember the first time we went, we were sure it wasn’t going to be enough to fill us up but we found the food delightful (and more than enough to fill us up), the owner and staff were always warm and friendly. The gift shop is always offering wonderful surprises every time we go. We simply love it! Im writing this now because my sister and I are currently discussing plans to take Mom for tea to celebrate her 91st birthday. We so enjoy going as a special treat for all of us. I do not often leave reviews but I felt compelled to share our experiences for those who have never been to Tranquilia Tea. The atmosphere is as charming as the food and service.

Such an amazing tea room. Best I have ever been to!!! Highly recommend. Amazing food with so many different options,so many amazing teas, very friendly and accommodating staff, owners are the sweetest too. They go out of their way to make your experience amazing and will accommodate you if you have dietary restrictions. So cute in there and amazing things to buy in 2 gift shops there. I will keep recommending to my friends. I am so glad I found this place!!!

A beautiful little place to visit! The tea selection had plenty of options to choose from, and you can get them hot or iced. We got the biggest options and they came with soup, petit sandwiches and desserts. The young lady working was fabulous and kind. It was definitely an experience and my kids loved it!

We asked when we first booked if they could accommodate a vegan diet and they said yes. We booked and I was very excited for high tea. I was immediately disappointed in the fact that some of the teas have milk, but they did not have milk alternatives. They brought the soup for the table and I received apples and oranges. The three tier selection of scones, cookies and finger sandwiches for the table was plentiful and had a great variety, verses the salad and one over salted cucumber wedge for me. I also was given a sorbet and that was good. There are so many different teas to try and they are endless. I had the snowflake, geisha, and maple cream teas and they were great. The shop itself is adorable. The staff is friendly. As a vegan, I will not be back. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, I think you might find it delightful.

We had a wonderful tea service for five. We sat in the back room which gave us lots of space, and the kitchen sounds were not overwhelming at all. The rooms are beautifully decorated .. elegantly over the top as you would expect. We’ll be back!

The food was delicious and the tea was amazing. There were lots of teas to choose from. In the gift shop you were able to buy tea to take home. Overall I was really impressed and will definitely have to visit again.

Vegan food options were salad and fruit and we were told that they had vegan options as long as they are given a day in advance. What they needed that advance for we do not know. Very cute place and the tea was great but that was it. It was a bit pricey. The vegan tea options were okay but they don’t have any alternative milk so chai teas were not available.

Just to clarify for the readers, the “fruit salad” apples and oranges! Mixed green salad was just a fail! The cucumber sandwich was way too salty! All of your passive aggressive replies to these poor people are horrendous!! Everything else was amazing the little sandwiches were delicious and wonderful tea but for a Vegan was AWFUL!

My mom was asked by a waitress “how do you feel about honey?” Great question, because some vegans accept honey but others don’t, my mom, not nasty at all repeated the question and said “No, honey is not vegan” which wasn’t nasty and the waitress clarified that she was just checking to see. Saying that it was a nasty interaction is just foul behavior. Whether the waitress cried or not, which as a former waitress I definitely believe some tears were shed and i do NOT blame the waitress for that because that job is difficult. Your reply to me about the mine items my mom received made it a lot more impressive and tasty than it seemed, my mom didn’t even eat it because she was immediately disappointed. Then to eat a salad, with cranberries, pecans and the same apples and a balsamic glaze, again disappointed. Then the cucumber sandwich she received just wasn’t good and was way too salty. Her mango sorbet she received was very good. For a non-vegan this place was great! It was cute, the sandwiches were tasty and the tea was delicious! But as a vegan you will be certainly disappointed!!

My mom took me here for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time there and we drove about 25 minutes to get there. The outside of the tea house is painted a fun purple color. You enter into a very small, cramped foyer and we were greeted right away. They found our reservation and escorted us to our table, which was through the main room and into a smaller “back room” with just one other table. We were seated directly in front of the kitchen entrance. It was very cramped. I even just about knocked a bunch of tea sets off the wall trying to get my coat on and off. The tablecloth was pretty but the chairs are the cheap ugly black stackable ones. Rather than beautiful tea pots and dishes, each seat is outfitted with a small, solid colored tea pot (neither of us were fans of our colors) and a small plate and tea cup set. The tiny tea spoons were cute. Cloth antique-looking napkins were very cute but also very small. We were provided with a lengthy menu of teas to choose from and started our meal with our choice of tea. Now the food. I didn’t care for the salad and only took one small bite. Neither of us liked the tomato bisque which had tons of tiny cut up onions and a bad taste. It was also served in a tiny little bowl. Servers were fine but never asked if my (uneaten) food was ok. Next they brought out a 2-tier tray with a few tea sandwiches and some deserts. Overall, we weren’t fond of most of the sandwiches and left several untouched. We each had a strawberry white chocolate scone with cream, which was good. The other desserts weren’t eaten either. They served two cake pops and called them “truffles”. We took the desserts home to my children, who were only interested in the cake pops. The cost for this lovely meal was $40/person and then they added on an almost 25% tip automatically! Overall, very disappointing experience and we won’t go back.

UPDATE: the tip added was indeed 18%, my mistake. And yes, now that it has been brought to my attention, I recall there was a third table squished behind our tables. Otherwise, I stand by my review. I’m sorry you felt the need to discredit my review, rather than take the constructive criticism.
