It was midnight, and I was driving westbound. I was tired and nearing the end of my 14 hour day. I had already pulled into 3 other truckstops looking for parking. I seen this place on Google maps and decided to take a chance. There was plenty of available parking! Of course finding parking, I had to stop in for a meal – I was not disappointed. They had a typical diner style breakfast at a great price! The waitress was very friendly too. I only wish I would have known about this place years earlier.

If you need a pit stop to fuel up, then this is the place. Waffles with whipped butter were both fluffy and crispy as a good waffle should. Highly recommend over chain fast food!

This old time diner is a classic. The people are friendly the food is great and the atmosphere is a real old time diner. From the moment you walk in until you leave you feel it. The food was good but my club sandwich had mayo on 2 of the 4 triangle sandwiches. If you are near there check out this gem in the shade.

Had a great experience here. It is a typical diner that served us a great breakfast. I had 2 eggs scrambled with wheat toast home fries and bacon. The boss had the veggie omelette and my boy had the 2 pancake special with banana and strawberry topping with a side of bacon.
Everything was good and the food came out fast.
Our server, Sue, was attentive and friendly. She asked if everything was cooked to our liking and offered to take things back if they weren’t.
Left with a full stomach and a smile.

I have to drive past this place to get to my usual breakfast spot, so today I figured id change it up.
Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel with extra crispy hash browns. Food came out in ok time, but the sandwich didn’t have cheese and had merely 2 slices of bacon. Hash browns were meek and barely even done. Coffee was good though, and the server was pleasant enough.. The place only had a few people in it, so it was at least quiet. But i will be heading to my usual gathering place from here on out.

Trainer’s Midway Diner was an unexpected treat. It is very much like the old school diners that I grew up eating at. Not fancy, just great food and very friendly staff. They have a number of selections on the menu and everything we ordered was great and with generous portions. They also have a nice selection of homemade pie. This place makes me happy.

So on a recent unexpected Tuesday morning, my brother and I had to go out to the state of Pennsylvania, where me and my brother we’re picking up my niece who had been recently in a car accident. After checking out of the hospital and picking up the remains of her vehicle, we ended up stopping at this diner with her and her boyfriend and two of her friends who were traveling with her. Our waitress who I can’t recall her name unfortunately, wasn’t very helpful information on the menu as well as give my niece some Motrin. She also gave us information about local dry cleaners because they were heading to a wedding and they needed their clothes dry cleaned. She gave us the suggestion of the menu we ordered our food including Pennsylvania staple of scrapple, which no one at the table but myself have ever had. They were mesmerized by it. And while it was flavorful with a heavy overtone of sausage, I mistakenly put too much hot sauce on it and it ruined it. The homemade corned beef was pretty good, if not a little bit more pasty than I’m use to but flavorful and me and the other person ate it all.
As this was a one-time trip through the state I’m glad that we found this place and the waitress we had after a very stressful evening. Thank you and God bless you all for your assistance and I apologize to the waitress who take care of us because I don’t recall her name

Good food, service was good, facility was clean.
Server was very nice and attentive.
The server even asked if we wanted crayons and things to draw on for my 5 year old.
I would certainly recommend going there.
