We had an enjoyable lunch at Traditions restaurant. Jennifer was a great, personable, friendly server. The chicken strips with upgraded salad bar was excellent. Rudy had the cheese steak but thought the steak was dry. He enjoyed his salad bar choices. I was happy that the salad bar included picked Beets and okra. Very Good lunch! Best chicken strips I’ve ever had moist and tinder.

Great place for RVers. We love finding local businesses to support over fast food chains when traveling. Traditions is a good stop not far off the interstate. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich, really good and meaty not flat and greasy. Enough for 2 sandwiches. Porky burger good too. Reasonable prices. A couple of misses: wait staff wasn’t attentive and the atmosphere is very plain. It needs some greenery or warmth amongst all the new seating. Maybe brand new? A big guy brought the food out and he was friendly. It’s on the main drag, easy to get to, and big wide street for RVers. The town is easy to get around in for big rigs.

Traveling across country and stopped here for dinner. Husband had chicken fried steak with a loaded potato and salad bar. I had butterfly shrimp with the same side. Would order both again. The salad bar was 10/10 and great ranch dressing. The mixed drinks are not the greatest, so next time we would just stick to water. Very friendly and attentive staff.

My wife and I stopped in a week prior to today. I ordered a ribeye and wife had shrimp. Very pleased with our server that visit who was Robbyn. The main dish with two sides and one trip to the salad bar gave so much good food for the $. This visit I tried the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint, very delicious, along with the baked potato and homemade chicken noodle soup. Our server was Audrey and she was very nice and personable. Owner Justin stopped by the table a couple of times to see how everything was tasting. Nice to see an owner genuinely interested in customer experience and satisfaction. If we are ever in this area again this will definitely be a stop for us. Highly recommend to others!

After driving 8 1/2 hours and searching restaurants in Goodland, KS, we located Traditions Restaurant on Google. It had great reviews and the menu had a good variety. Robbyn was our server and she was great! Food came out quickly and was hot and steaks cooked to perfection! Lots of food for the $$ (steak, two sides, a roll and a single trip to the salad bar). We were stuffed. If we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely eat here again.

Passing through and stopped to spend the night in Goodland KS. We picked Traditions after a Google search and looking at menus.
Great choice, food, service and atmosphere. We both had hamburger steaks, which comes with 2 sides and a salad bar. Good drink selections too and good wine for $8.

100% would visit again. Food was delicious, service was phenomenal, and we were able to get in and out in about 30 minutes. Prices are affordable, especially given the quantity of food! We had the tradition burger with waffle fries (yum!) and the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a sweet roll. Hubs was so full he couldn’t even do the soup of the day (which is self service by the salad bar). Heard desserts were good but definitely didn’t have the room. Check this place out if you drive by Goodland!

This place is an absolute gem for classic, nostalgic comfort food done right. The pork tenderloin sandwich is outstanding – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, just like the ones you remember growing up. The fried chicken sandwich and cheeseburgers are top-tier: juicy, well-seasoned. Every bite feels familiar in the best way and made with care, but the quality is what really sets it apart. It’s officially now a go-to stop whenever we’re passing through Kansas, and we’ll gladly keep coming back!
