Same service but better views comparing to the one by the port. The crab is delicious and has a lot of meat though it doesn’t look like. One dose for one person is about 1 leg and a half. It is expensive but once in Juneau you have to try it specially if you enjoy seafood. This Shack is less busy than the other and the service is quick. I prefer this one because of the atmosphere. There is even am area outside with a fireplace where you can chill and enjoy the amazing views.

They were out of their iconic massive crab legs and it looked like they had been sold out for some time. We went at the end of August 2025. The line wasn’t really long so we jumped in. We got the combo meal to get a good sample of everything. The flavor of the crab was amazing but was a little cold. The bisque was my least favorite but my dad loved it. The Coleslaw was great and the crab cakes were delicious. The crab stole the show! It was packed but we managed to find a seat pretty quickly. I would go back, but wouldn’t make a special trip to Juneau for Tracey’s.

We loved the outdoor dining area. We ordered at the shack. Found a table. And Presto! Our feast came right out. The crab was so sweet and juicy. Can’t wait to go back to Alaska for more of the same.
The shack is just outside the main area of the City and worth the little distance. No waiting for a table. No crowd. Great food.

The King Crab at this restaurant was simply excellent, delivering a flavor and freshness that is hard to rival. Each bite was succulent and rich, showcasing the natural sweetness of the crab meat, perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. It was clear that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing high-quality seafood, making this dish a true highlight of the menu.
The service was equally commendable, with a team of attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with any questions or requests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable.
Although there was a long line, it moved surprisingly fast, which is a testament to the restaurant’s efficiency. The anticipation only added to the excitement of what was to come, and it was well worth the wait.
This experience should definitely be a part of your Juneau itinerary. If you’re looking for a memorable meal, this is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting the area make it a point to eat here; the combination of outstanding King Crab and excellent service makes it a must-try destination!

There’s a reason this place is always poppin. The food is incredible, atmosphere is what you’d expect for a crab shack (cracking crab shell noise and smells, hustle and bustle, ringing bells, etc.), and the service is top notch, especially dealing with tourists all day. We ordered 2 of the combo meals which will be plenty and get you nice and full with an opportunity to try multiple of their specialties. It came with your choice of crab, mini crab cakes, crab bisque, and rolls – all incredibly delicious and house made. The environment is loud and fun. Definitely a must try if you can be patient and a good guest in their house.

I loved everything about this place. It’s small, so we were able to get in and out quickly. Yes, it’s pricey at $85 per pound (for two legs) of the red Alaskan king crab, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The crab was cooked to perfection—sweet, firm, and flavorful. The heated clear tent where you dine adds to the charm. This is a special, iconic spot that’s a must-visit when you’re in the Juneau area. My husband does not eat seafood, so he got the pulled pork sliders. That, fries and coleslaw are the only non seafood options.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit for King Crab Lovers!
We had an amazing experience at Tracy’s Crab Shack 2! We ordered the 3lb King Crab Bucket, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The crab legs were perfectly cooked—sweet, tender, and juicy—and the butter sauce was the perfect companion, enhancing every bite.
The new location is about a 15-minute walk from the original shack, but we had a rental car, so getting there was a breeze. The expanded seating is a big plus, and the scenic views are spectacular. While enjoying our meal, we spotted several bald eagles, including one swooping down to catch a fish—truly a National Geographic moment!
The staff was fantastic, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re craving top-quality King Crab Legs in Juneau, this is the place to be. Worth every penny and every bite!

If you want all the deliciousness and better local vibe, but not all the hassle of waiting in line then you got to go to Tracy’s Crab shack 2 actually!
His place was fantastic, love the local vibe right on the water. And the food of course was absolutely delicious, was the best crab bisque I’ve ever had!

We ordered the crab cakes and a beer. Food came out quickly and the service was great. Happened to sit by some people who couldn’t finish their crab, so they offered it to us. We graciously accepted and were so happy we did. If this review was based on what we ordered, it would have been 2 stars because the crab cakes were more bread than anything. The sauce was a ketchup sauce that was not that great, but it is not something I generally would like so that is up for discussion. The extra stars were for the crab we got as leftovers from the other family. Normally I am not one to take a stranger’s leftovers, but since it was untouched crab, I felt safe. Good call. Not sure which crab it was, but it was so fresh and succulent. It did not even need butter. Again, the staff was very friendly and this location was laid back. You didn’t feel like you just got off a cruise ship. Worth it if you don’t mind the walk.

We LOVED eating dinner at Tracy’s Crab Shack. We went to their second location, which was recommended by our guide. We found that the price per pound was a bit lower here than their main location right by the boat port. There was also no line here compared to the other location! There was plenty of seating with great views. The staff were all so great. and of course, the crab was 10/10 along with the bisque, rolls and drinks!
