I visited Towne Tavern last Friday night with a group of friends. While we were sitting at our table having drinks and appetizers, we repeatedly saw a mouse coming out from the corner of the dining area and running across the floor. It was comfortable moving around the room, which suggests this was not a one-time incident. We were able to capture both photos and videos of the mouse.
I reported this to the hostess, who said she would notify the manager. I then personally spoke to a man who appeared to be a manager on duty. His response was extremely concerning — he told me they have been “trying to lay traps” and that the other businesses in the plaza “aren’t doing their part,” so the mice are coming into Towne Tavern. That means management is fully aware there is an ongoing rodent problem, yet the restaurant remains open and serving food and drinks.
For context, this plaza includes multiple food establishments, including Little Caesars and a sushi restaurant, which makes this even more alarming from a public health standpoint.
The service itself was also lacking. Our waitress was difficult to find when we needed water and at one point was sitting at a back table on her phone instead of checking on guests. The food was just okay, and one of my friend’s drinks tasted strongly like cough syrup (Robitussin-like) and was not finished.
Between the confirmed rodent issue and the poor service, I will not be returning. I strongly recommend that management and the property owner address this infestation immediately before someone gets sick.

The wings were fantastic! The service was a bit slow, but the wings totally made up for it. We didn’t even know we were walking into karaoke night when we walked in, but that was super fun to watch. The regulars here clearly get along very well and it made for a great atmosphere. The cocktails were great as well. My compliments to the bartender and cook!

My wife and I visited your restaurant last night around 8:30pm. She ordered the fried fish with fries and I ordered Buffalo wings (coach style) with fries. When our food arrived, my fries were missing. I mentioned it to the waitress and was told, “Oh, I’ll go get it.” About ten minutes later, after noticing her standing at the far side of the bar, we made eye contact and she went to the back. She returned with fries that were grease-soaked and appeared to have been sitting above the fryer for quite some time.
Throughout our visit there was also a strong marijuana odor coming from the kitchen area, which made for an unpleasant dining experience.
When it came time to pay, the waitress initially ran my card for another table’s check. About five minutes later she returned with another employee and asked to run my card again for the correct check. While mistakes can happen, this added to an already frustrating experience.
I emailed the restaurant the next day with hopes that I would get a reply stating that they would investigate and correct the issues, unfortunately, we received no reply.

Excellent Tavern/Bar the Towne Tavern in Indian Land. It’s in the shopping center that the Bogangles is in. Great wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches and drinks. Good variety of each. Friendly staff. Great prices too!

They have tasty wings here and the buffalo wrap is tasty as well. I always get the hot garlic for my wing flavor. If you go on Thursday at 6:30 they have music bingo. We had a great server tonight but usually get poor service. We used to get good service every time back when mark was the bartender but it’s still fun to come here .

We have started to come back to Towne Tavern. We can see a positive change with the new ownership. Food and service was great and the carpet is gone . Lots of items on the kids menu and Kia eat for free on Sunday. We will continue to come back!

Hoped new management would be better? Nope. Sat with a party of 6 at the bar. Everyone got their food but me and one buddy. Wings. Not hard people! After 30 minutes I was livid. The manager finally came up and dude didn’t care at all. Don’t go for these dry under sauced “jumbo” bone in wings or anything else. They finally brought em out as we were all leaving? 40 minutes later. Still had the audacity to charge us full price for drinks while we sat empty handed with friends. Headed to a great wing spot now and throwing these away.

This is one of my new favorite sports bars in Indian Land/ Fort Mill. Most definitely a great atmosphere. Haven’t had much from the menu but burgers (which are good) and the pizza roll appetizers. But I see other people order a variety of Menu items they seem to enjoy. I must say football season is a vibe for sure. Give em try and tell them April sent you
