Fries were tasty and seasoned nicely.
I would get it again, just maybe with less crumbles for my personal taste buds.
Not a bad spot for a small group in the local Fort Mill area.
Our waitress was either newer or not skilled, but she was pleasant. We asked for lemon with our water which didn’t happen until much later – no biggie.
Food came out in a fair amount of time.
Fish was warm, fries were ice cold. We had to chase down someone to ask for silverware, another woman came out and dropped plastic to go silverware. We asked if there was regular silverware like everyone else had(and what’s normal) to get a scowl of “no!”. Eventually the waitress came over to check and went back to get fries that weren’t cold, and those were room temp at best.
Everyone has a bad day, and this was bad front of house and back of house. I hope things improve moving forward to what we are accustomed to.
Atmosphere: 6.1/10 – The medium-sized interior and comfortable outdoor eating area are adorned with signed sports jerseys and memorabilia, creating an attractive setting for game watchers. The presence of numerous TVs enhances the sports-oriented vibe.
Service: 4.7/10 – Basic needs such as water refills are generally met, and service is attentive. However, the overall service lacks warmth and special touches that could improve the dining experience. The poor condition of the bathrooms, being dirty and smelly, significantly detracts from the overall impression of the tavern.
King Kong Burger: 5.8/10 – The burger was served well-done without inquiring about preferred cooking levels. The bottom bun became soggy quickly, and while the patty was ordinary, the cheese quality was noted as a positive aspect. Pricing was considered fair for the quality provided.
Mac n Cheese: 1.9/10 – This version of macaroni and cheese, consisting of ziti with a simple cheese topping, fails to meet the traditional expectations for the dish. It is not recommended based on the quality observed.
New Orleans Pasta: 6.2/10 – The pasta dish was well-received, featuring good presentation and a properly sized portion. The spice level was well-balanced, and the quality of the cooked chicken added to the overall pleasing flavor of the meal.
From the beginning of ordering, our server was almost never to be found, despite ordering drinks. We then had to stop her to try and order an appetizer since we were all very hungry. Had to stop her again to order our main meals.
After ordering and waiting a good bit, one person in our group received their French dip. We then waited 15 minutes till another person in our group received their Cobb salad. Then waited 20 minutes for my order of wings, which were cold upon receiving. Then another 20 minutes and the final person received their wings, also cold. I politely asked for a manager due to never receiving our second round of drinks, since the waitress wasn’t bothered to check on our table once the entire time, as well as the time it took for each person to receive their food (also keep in mind each time it was never our actual waitress who dropped off the food), and the fact when we got our food it was cold, Completely unacceptable!
Again thank you to the manager who was very understanding and took care of the food, in which we did not eat other than the appetizer and Cobb salad. But service needs improvement, maybe don’t hire high schoolers who are too busy walking past their tables who are trying to get their attention, or receive their food so it’s not sitting under a heat lamp -just so they can talk to their friends at the front or play on their phones in the back. Thank u again to the manager, but definitely won’t be back. What a shame, used to love this place.
