My grandmother always goes here so I’ve came here a ton of times as well. Always nice employees and always greeting us in Tagalog. Also this place is always somewhat busy no matter what time you show up here. This time we ordered tea, white rice, sweet and sour boiled fish, roasted eggplant, crispy salty pork, honey walnut shrimp, egg drop soup, Mongolian beef and another beef dish. Food has always solid portions and tastes great.

Stopping back in for some dinner. Food is flavourful and tasty. Seasoning is good. The spicy dishes are not on the hot side. Made with dried red chili’s. Weekend seating is available. High volume of phone orders. If you have to wait for seating. The waiting area is on the very small side. Parking lot is tight and on the small side. Not sure where handicap parking is located. Front entrance is off of main street.

By far, the best Chinese food in the valley. Exemplary service and very good food. Very competitively priced.

You will find a Thousand Year Pork Belly. It’s the best pork belly ever! The seasoning and texture are just perfect!
I ordered it to go many many times for my parties
My guests love it as much as I do!
I love it so much and I think I am addicted
Go try it yourself!!

Worst food experience I’ve ever had – what is this? I ordered the seafood chow mein off the lunch menu and got a dry pile of crusty noodles with a case of goopy tasteless sauce. There is no flavor to anything I swear they didn’t even finish preparing my dish. It’s hard to mix them together or even get a fork full of any noodle cause its all crusted together in one piece. This dish makes no sense and I don’t understand why this restaurant keeps this item on the menu. Very very disappointed

The food was outstanding. Extremely flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mongolian beef, crispy fried shrimp and clams with black bean sauce were phenomenal. The wonton soup tasted great as well. without question, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Covina. I recommend you give this spot a try you will not be disappointed. And if you happen to stop in say hi to Ted and tell him Lee sent you!

Update Nov 2025:

Best lunch deal in the SGV for sure. If you love fresh seafood, this is your place. They have the classics too like crispy chow mein. I always go for the clams and this visit the clams were huge. Smaller portions when the clams are larger, but no complaints from me at this price. Also tried their Kung Pao scallops, bell pepper beef, crispy chow mein with chicken and the clams with ginger and scallion. I might pass on the chow mein or change up to beef next time. Also scallops were on the small side, but tasty. The rest, amazing! Service was stellar today as well.

Update Sept 2025:
Craving clams and stopped by for a so lunch. Ordered both black bean and ginger with scallions and both were delicious! Always appreciated the lunch price and portions with free soup and free tea. So many place charge for tea now it’s annoying.
Anyway, cleaned all my plates and enjoyed every bite. Was pretty crowded at around 1:30pm on a Wed, which was great for them. Was still seated and served pretty quickly, so all good there. Surprisingly was full of Latinos the past few trips and severs were busting out their Spanish whether the huestes needed it or not. Was kinda fun to watch. Enough Chinese speaking guests still there to know it’s legit, but happy to see the new clientele.

I miss this place. Especially sitting down in the restaurant with the free soup and tea, the condiments like chili oil and service. It’s just not the same ordering for one or two people either. Ordering as a group and eating family style was the best part.

Of course we can’t these days and a lot of time has passed since my last visit. That said, I was really craving some clams with black bean sauce and decided to treat myself to some take out. Only bummer was they were out of clams today 🙁 Bummer but already had some other items in kid and decided to keep the order anyway, just replaced the clams with scallops. Also ordered the fried calamari with spicy salt and a large hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious, but of course would have preferred clams to scallops but flavors were on point.

1 star off for not knowing they were out of clams when I first called. I might have cancelled my order and went back this weekend, but I was already on my way when they called me back. A little harsh I know, but I’ll update when I get my clams! Another though would be to offer chili oil and condiments on the side and the option for chopsticks over plastic utensils. I would even be fine with no utensils as an option, since I did bring back home to eat. The plastic stuff went in the trash because they got dirty from the sauce and I used chopsticks at home. Just a thought.
