Was on a birthday trip we take every year with our buddies, had been told this was a good spot to visit. Got there and handed my ID politely when asked, and despite answering every question correctly that was asked I had been told I had to leave. Offered to call the cops to verify its validity, then he kicked out my entire friend group. Very rude, very disrespectful and unprofessional. I recommend The Station just across the street. Very friendly atmosphere and they can actually read an ID correctly.

Me and my friends went around Saturday, around 11 after deciding to choose a closer bar than an asheville one. I don’t know if we upset the bartender somehow but he was pretty rude to my friend; she just asked for a drink recommendation as she isnt super familiar with bars. I don’t know if it was too busy or something but he was pretty hostile and just said no pretty rudely. We ended up leaving after the whole “No” situation as it made my friend pretty upset. I would understand if it was super busy, but it really wasn’t. Maybe we pissed him off, or it was a bad night. I don’t know. All in all, the better part was that the drinks were pretty average price range wise — me and my other friend got our drinks (a beer and a dirty shirley) for 9 dollars. If we did something wrong I would like to know what it was so we can avoid in the future.

NO FOOD. The beer selection is super solid and the drinks get you where you’re trying to go. The one bartender made my paloma with tajin, which I was not expecting, and it was HEAT. If you’re looking for a good dive bar this is the spot.
