These people are doing it right and some! The sandwiches this place puts out are PACKING and full of flavor. The breakfast sandwiches, be prepared to take half home because they are HUGE. Staff is amazing attentive and super friendly. Like other reviews im super close to some good bagels spots but this is so worth the extra 15 minutes of a drive all around for everything; service atmosphere and food place deserves a 10/5

Town Bagel received an accolade at this year’s NYC Bagel Fest 2026! So I definitely wanted to get it fresh from the source. We tried two bagel spots on the same morning: Town Bagel vs Gold & Meyers. G&M was by far the superior bagel in terms of density, fluff. It was soft in the bite and just tasted much better. TB’s bagel was drier and flatter.
The iced coffee tasted SO bad.
Plenty of seating. The staff was very diligent in clearly up tables and even took our empty tray before we could get up to self service!

Town Bagel is one of those places I always enjoy when I go — and yet, for some reason, I don’t go nearly as often as I should. Every time I visit, I’m reminded how good they are. Their bagels are fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My personal favorite is the salmon cream cheese bagel, which they do perfectly, and my wife loves their classic cream cheese bagels.
One thing I really admire about Town Bagel is how well they handle the morning rush. They’ve got the process down to a science — the line moves quickly without sacrificing quality or service. The staff are efficient, organized, and friendly, and the whole place runs like a well-oiled machine.
The bagels themselves are top quality — great texture, fresh ingredients, and generous spreads. It’s a shop that clearly knows what it’s doing and takes pride in it.
I honestly wish I went here more often, because every time I leave, I’m thinking, “Why don’t I do this more?” Town Bagel is a Plainview gem, and I’m glad it’s part of our neighborhood.

The absolute BEST bagel place. I have several bagel places/ deli’s within 5-10 mins of my home and I double my commute just to come here. The food is amazing and so fresh. The bagels are the best around (do yourself a favor and get their egg everything). The place is immaculately clean. The owner and the rest of the staff give phenomenal customer service and are extremely efficient. The line is almost always very long and I never wait longer than 5 mins. Me and my family always be returning customers here.

This place used to be good but my last two experiences have been terrible. Last time, I ordered two sandwiches and didn’t provide me a bag so I asked and one of the guys tosses it at me. Another worker caught that and offered to bag my items for me. This time, they left out the egg in my sausage egg and cheese while charging nearly $10 for it. They also burnt my bagel as well! Upsetting service to say the least.

While in Plainview visiting a friend, my wife brought home bagels from Town Bagel. I’m glad she did. Sadly, I have not found a Connecticut bagel that is as good. The bagels were soft and delicious. My favorite was the everything egg. They include salt as one of the toppings which not all bagel places do. When she bought the dozen, she was offered a free cream, cheese or six bagels free. We went with the six bagels. Looking forward to her next trip into Plainview. Hopefully she will have time to get more bagels.

Town Bagel has the real New York bagels — fresh, chewy, and exactly what you’d hope for. The staff is always super friendly, and there’s a ton of spreads, salads, and other food to pick from. Only thing I’d change is the coffee, which could be better. But honestly, the bagels make up for it.

We are from Virginia, but my husband is from New York. We were traveling and craving New York bagels. And we sure did find the Best spot. We found Town Bagel to be remarkably friendly and clean with many many choices. Too many to make up our minds, so we went with basics. An everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee. It was just like tasting a piece of New York. The staff was immense and very busy. Transitioning from Breakfast to lunch. There are huge glass windows behind the bakery counter to see a large staff making everything fresh in the kitchen. The coffee was fresh and made to order. We love the motivational sign at the entrance. This shop is in a shopping center, with ample parking. As busy as it was we could tell it was very well run and managed. Everyone had a job and everyone did their job. Definitely going back tomorrow.
