Totto Yama is a great spot for Japanese cuisine, especially if you love seafood and bold flavors. Their seafood udon is a highlight—served without broth, featuring fresh shrimp and squid. While the flavors are enjoyable, I found it a bit too creamy for my taste.

I also really enjoyed their sausage, which was well-seasoned and didn’t have the usual smoky aftertaste—just pure, delicious flavor. However, I did find that some dishes had a bit too much cream cheese, which slightly overpowered the other flavors.

That said, the location is convenient, and the overall dining experience is great, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. If you’re a fan of udon and unique Japanese flavors, Totto Yama is still worth checking out!

If you like quick and comfort Japanese food in the food court, you need to try here! It has different twist as Japanese curry which is cooked with ground pork. Eel fish is also cooked well. Yakitori is delicious!

For the price they were selling at I couldn’t resist on grabbing a few dishes ! The eel was silky with the sauce on the rice made an excellent app. The skewers were either pork cheek or belly I forgot . The chicken curry dishes came out super on point. Def coming back when I’m in Plano !

Quick and delicious!! Ordered at the kiosks up front. I had the chicken tempura combo, which came with chicken, some lettuce, miso soup, and rice. The chicken was delicious and crispy! Very generous portion size as well.

I also ordered the dashi negi oroshi takoyaki, which was just okay. It came with soup, which made the takoyakis soggy at the bottom. Not the biggest fan because of the texture.

Really good curry! Not too spicy, and the service was awesome. I really appreciate how crispy the chicken was.

It’s a stall inside the supermarket so nothing fancy. There are two options for ordering food here, cash on the counter and credit card on a separate machine. It was very convenient. I had the yakitori and the tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was okay, but you don’t need to travel out of the way to Legacy to try it. The minimum order for yakitori is two sticks (2 pork belly) and can’t be mixed. The yakitori was delish!

This place is underrated because it’s delicious. A little bit pricey but worth it. This is a hidden gem. We are exploring Dallas and looking for some good eat so definitely recommend

The food looks exactly like their photos. Taste even better. Yakitori is a must. Karage is amazing too.

Update: it was originally a 5 stars establishment. However I have been going more often lately. The quality has gone down drastically. The portion and taste of karage has not been the same. It was my favorite dish to get, however it’s been dry and chewy (rubbery) the last few times I have ordered. And the counter person (young girl with a long ponytail) had been careless and would let my food sit in the counter for minutes without calling out the order number, unless I walked up to her to ask if that was my order. Quite disappointing to see a business going downhill this quickly.

Second update: we decided to give it another try. The karage (friend chicken) is so dry we could barely bite into it. It was very hard to chew. Overcooked. Chewy. Exhausting to eat. Really disappointed.

I was ready to order with the cashier, but they were a bit rude when they told me to order from the iPad on the side. The spicy chicken katsu curry was good, but I the amount of chicken was half of what was in the picture. Overall, flavor was good, but the spicy version wasn’t too spicy.
