Btw, the Ikura Shower comes with a special presentation from the workers with a song! So fun and this spot is the jam. I also ordered the miso soup and salad on the side – you can skip the salad.
We ordered their famous bowl, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The ingredients tasted fresh, with bright, clean flavors that highlighted the quality of the fish. The texture was firm and well-prepared, and the rice was nicely seasoned—lightly vinegared and balanced without overpowering the toppings. Presentation was simple but appealing, allowing the natural colors and freshness of the ingredients to stand out. Portion size was satisfying without being overwhelming, and considering the quality, the price felt very reasonable. In terms of value, it struck a great balance between freshness, quantity, and cost.
The service was good and impressively fast. Staff were attentive and professional, making sure everything moved along smoothly without making us feel rushed. It was efficient, friendly, and hassle-free—exactly what you hope for in a casual dinner spot.
As for the ambiance, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. The smaller dining area creates a comfortable, welcoming environment that feels relaxed rather than crowded. It’s not a flashy space, but it’s clean, comfortable, and perfect for an easygoing meal.
Overall, Totoya delivers where it counts: fresh food, fair pricing, efficient service, and a cozy setting. It’s a straightforward, enjoyable dining experience—and one I would definitely return to.
The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. If you’re craving authentic, high-quality Kaisen-don, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Here’s my honest taste:
The negitoro is mashed fatty tuna. The taste is plain so please add a lot of shoyu sauce.
The shrimp was fresh and tasty, probably the highlight of the bowl. The sashimi is also good.
The uni wasn’t great quality — which I kind of expected at this price point, so that part was totally fine. Adding the uni gave the bowl more diversity of texture so it’s good to have.
The fish roe had a bit of a strange aftertaste, which took away from the experience.
Overall the bowl itself was quite plain, so I found myself adding a lot of shoyu for flavor. I also tried the egg yolk topping, but it didn’t really enhance the taste much — shoyu definitely helped more.
The grounded sesame seeds were a must-have for adding some nuttiness.
On the positive side, I really enjoyed the regular miso soup — warm, comforting, and balanced.
For me, the concept was interesting to try, but with the high price and uneven quality, it is really depends on people’s preferences to decide whether to try or not.
everything was good but i’d say the service is good but didn’t really match to the quality of food. kinda casual and inconsistent. some weren’t as good as others. for example one of them said “customers leaving” in japanese and she was looking for rest of employees but they were talking to themselves and ignore her.
but for me, i didn’t care too much since food is great but did notice that.
If you’re looking for amazing freshness paired with gracious, heartfelt hospitality, Toytoya is a must‑visit. Already looking forward to going back.
