Located under street level, this was quite a happening place for a week night. Karaoke, pool tables and pinball…what more could you want in a bar? Yeah, I was the oldest chicken in the hen house, but when you are out to have a good time with friends, age is relative, and the atmosphere of the bar took me back to my 20s again. It was rather busy, so bar service could take a few minutes when ordering.

I drove to this bar all the way from Atlanta specifically to meet up with a person from a dating app. So not only are you about to read a review of this bar, but you are about to hear a love story. When I arrived, the door guy checked my id and maintained his station like a gargoyle standing sentinel and guarding in the night. I walked carefully down the winding stairs and my eyes immediately locked with the person I was looking for… Working on the left side of the bar. Holy crap, he was gorgeous. We smiled and his hands shook as he took my order. No four roses (my favorite drink), so he gave me whatever else they had. I really didn’t care. I took my drink and perused around the bar to check the vibes. It was karaoke night and the bar was full of gorgeous young folks having the best time. There were some tables near the karaoke section littered with small groups yapping away and singing along with music. Beyond these tables, a small step up to play pool. The jubilant crowd gathered in sections playing their games while some littered along the walls. There were corners with some adorable retro games. I thought it was cute and reminded me of some bars that I used to visit when I was in college. My next mission was to find the bathroom. I had to pee so bad after a long drive. The bathroom was easy to find after wondering around and exploring just a little further. I walked in and there were a couple of drunk girls helping each other with their jumpers and they were hyping each other up with pristine drunk girl bathroom etiquette. The bathroom was clean and the artwork in the stalls was in great taste. I took a photo of the artwork and then I searched the walls for any warnings about the bar tender I was there to meet up with… No dice. Thank glob he hasn’t made it to the bathroom wall. After finishing up in there, I walked back to the bar to sit and enjoy some time with the fella I just drove 4 hours to meet. I can’t tell you much about the drink prices, because I guess that as long as you’re female and not a troll, you don’t buy your own drinks often here. Other people bought my drinks all night. I had a lot of fun there… Even by myself. Friends were easy to make and everyone was so nice. The bar tender I drove to meet was an absolute dream. We flirted in between his banter with the guests and he quickly took orders of each person in line. At one point, he was able to take a smoke break and he surprised me with the best kiss of my life. I stayed till the bar closed and I left with him and stayed three days in Savannah. Three days of heaven wasn’t enough, so I stole him and brought him back with me to Atlanta when I had to go home. We clicked immediately. His mother lives near me so we visited her and she sent us home with 75 tamales. Eventually I regretfully had to send my hot bar tender back to Savannah when it was time for his next shift, with a few tamales in hand, after the best week of my life. I’ll definitely be back to sit on the left side of the bar, where it all began…. Because this is only the beginning…

Totally Awesome Bar lives up to its name with a spacious area perfect for relaxing. The drinks are solid, and the decor brings back memories with retro TVs playing classic series and nods to 80s and 90s pop culture. The music is on point, but the best part? The old-school arcade games!

Fun bar with arcade games and pool tables. Bring cash for games. Always get in the photo booth!

Totally Awesome Bar lives up to none of its name. The staff was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in treating customers with respect, especially when some took a harmless short nap from work or whatever. Service was slow and careless, and the atmosphere felt chaotic and uncomfortable rather than fun. The surrounding area, adds to an overall sketchy and unprofessional vibe. This was a bad experience, and I would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere.

This is the best bar in town. karaoke, stand-up comedy, even sometimes a show, cheapest drinks, best music, good condition pool tables, best vibe. All 90’s themed. Will definitely recommend & will definitely come back.

This bar definitely lives up to its name! I came in October and had a good time. This is the perfect place to go with a group of friends because they have pool tables, a photo booth, and an NES! We had some good drinks, taped up our photos and played Street Fighter.

This was all my idea and my wife made a special effort to get me there after dinner tonight. It’s an ok destination. Pool table were in good working order and seemed popular. The video games were hit or miss. The Nintendo console was a knock off and the controllers didn’t work well. The wife and I made the most of it and took some great pictures in the Photo Booth and killed some ski ball. I would probably skip this one on future trips.

Definitely a Zoomer bar. Very young crowd. Lots of pool tables which is nice and I love the nostalgic vibe. They had the fresh prince and golden girls on TV’s at the bar. Karaoke had a very limited selection and only one book to look at, so better come with the song you want to sing and hope they have it.

Nothing particularly Awesome about this place. The cassette tape inlaid bar is sorta cool but it’s basically a pool hall with a few other games. Skee ball is a bit of a novelty I guess. Drinks ain’t that cheap. People were nice, music was mediocre considering there were 3 DJs rocking to their cuts
