We loved Tostévere so much when we tried it, we went back the following night! Despite reservations being filled up, we were able to sit at the bar. The tostadas are all unique and delicious but the roasted vegetable plate was divine! The fig/balsamic ice cream dessert was also amazing. Of all the places in SMA that we tried, this one definitely needs an advanced booking as they are a relatively small space. It is a must-visit for sure!

Stumbled into Tostévere on a rare and rainy day in SMA after reading a blog about the ten best places to eat and I am rarely wowed anymore but THIS PLACE!!! Small. Seven tables. Three bar seats. A curated menu with dishes designed to explode with flavor while somehow keeping it elevated and simple. The Short Rib Stew & Provolone cheese tostada is one of the best I’ve ever had. Piled with flavorful short rib, smoky provolone, pickled onion and fresh butter lettuce and some sauce that pulled it all together and wowza, it was fantastic. Servers are professional and charming. Special thank you to Fernando who friendly nature only enhanced the food. Ambience is exactly what one looks for. Intimate yet relaxed. Loved it. 5 FULL STARS.

And a special shout-out to Jonathan, who may very well be one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. His cocktails were flawless — inventive, perfectly balanced, and clearly crafted with real passion and expertise. Beyond that, his warmth and hospitality elevated the entire evening. Service like that stays with you.
If you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation at Tostevere, consider yourself fortunate. This is a once-in-a-while dining experience — the kind you never forget and immediately want to relive. Absolute perfection from start to finish.

One of the most delicious and delightful meals of my trip to San Miguel, several towns in Mexico, and of my life! I was walking by one of my first nights in town and it seemed like a great vibe coming from inside. I saw that the reviews were great, so booked myself for a seat for 1 at the bar the next night. The bartender Jonathan was excellent and made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. He suggested the Tuna & Avocado and Braised Shortrib with Provolone tostadas, and they were phenomenal. Perfect amount of food for one person. Dessert was a delicious glass of wine from the Ensenada, Baja area and it was a perfect night cap. Can not wait to be back in town for another round at Tostevere!

We stopped by before the dinner without reservations for an early dinner and we are glad we did. Probably one of the top 2 meals we had in San Miguel over the 5 days we visited. The salmon and fig pizza was amazing. The drinks are also some of the best we had.

Tostévere is so good! And very cool atmosphere. It’s small and intimate, with the menu handwritten. We went for dinner and had the sweet potato fried, roasted vegetable, and three tostadas: truffled esquites, roasted cauliflower, and seared tuna & avocado. The tostadas were all so good it was hard to pic a favorite. We loved it so much we made a reservation for lunch a few days later! The cocktails are very good too! Highly recommend, and also recommend making a reservation since the place is so small and popular!

Extraordinary, delicious, inventive tapas with fresh farm to table ingredients. The beet salad with whipped goat cheese and figs was fabulous and lightly seared tuna Tostada is seared into memory. Take any reservation you can get , it will be the highlight of your visit. If I come back to SMA it will be to eat at this restaurant again.

We walked in without a reservation and Fernando was very accommodating! We ordered 5 items which was more than enough for 2 people with left overs. Had the ceviche, tuna, cauliflower, short rib tostada and grilled vegetables! All spectacular and nothing you would find in the US.
