Just tried Tortuga for the first time and I am floored. I had the Ybor, my wife had the Phoenix and we split a side of fries.

The Ybor was out of this world!!! Mind blown one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. My wife said the Phoenix was great. Wedge fries were well seasoned and tasty. Even the free side of chips were awesome!

All that, plus my order was ready in 10 minutes, and the service was perfect. No notes!

We are beyond excited to have this location closer to us. We used to travel to Sanborn for Tortuga! Stopped in Friday afternoon, ordered at the location for a to-go order. Within 15 minutes all of the food we ordered was finished. When we got home we unwrapped everything and got ready to dig in. In my opinion, it was better than the Sanborn location. I was blown away this time. The atmousphere of the establishment perfectly matches the Sanborn location. Don’t hesitate, go in and order!
My order:
Gustavo sandwhich with chips (Yes)
Salmita sandwhich with cole slaw (Yum)
Street corn Mac and cheese (Amazing)
Caramel cookie with coconut (Woah)

Our sandwiches (Brassa and Carmen) were amazing! The sweet corn Mac and cheese sounds like such a weird combination, but it worked so well together. It was equally amazing. I’m giving them 5 stars based solely on the food. It was hot as hell inside, felt like 80 degrees and no air conditioning, the tables were sticky, and the food took about 30 minutes to get to our table. I definitely recommend ordering ahead and getting take-out.

Tortuga Sandwich Shop was well worth visiting. The sandwiches (Gustavo and Anton), Elocos (corn fritters), and Alfajores (Cookies) we’re all so delicious. I can’t say enough about how amazing everything was. We’re looking forward to returning soon.

Not a big review guy but I just had to. Stopped in on a whim and got the Gustavo and the Chino. The Chino was awesome but the Gustavo might have been the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Service was fast too. I’ll definitely be back.

Service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for the serving size. Everything was well seasoned, even the chips! Would recommend the Gustavo and any of the sweet treats available. Will definitely be returning

I got a sandwich here during my work day. Kind of a sad dreary day. I ate this sandwich and it improved my outlook on life. This sandwich was next level. I want to eat this sandwich and throw it up as a whole sandwich like king Neptune in SpongeBob just so I can eat it again. The house made chips were also good.

It was my favorite restaurant until they completely changed the menu. I went mostly for the Andes Fries which are no longer on the menu (they might be back?). They also started adding chimichurri to everything. I hope the Sanborn location opens again with the old menu.

Almost shed a tear eating “The Clicker” which is a truffle cheesesteak they have for a special this week. PLEASE MAKE IT A PERMANENT ITEM ON THE MENU!!! One of the best places I’ve eaten in Buffalo.
