Honest Review
Ambience – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The decor of the restaurant is very comforting. It’s bright and beautiful colors are a nice welcome that gives you taqueria like feel.
Service – ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Being that this place is family owned an operated the service makes you feel at home. Most of the staff is only Spanish speaking so there might be a language barrier depending on the who is serving you. I’ haven’t found it to be a big issue because they try their best at seaking English.
Food – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This review wouldn’t be real if I wasn’t honest about the food. Unfortunately this is where I had to deduct points. The food isn’t bad. I had steak tacos, tried the chicken and also a steak burrito. All of it was great, presentation and plating was nice but here’s where it fell off..on taste. It was a very basic nothing special taste. Steak lacked flavor, the salsa Verde is nice at overwhelming the other flavors but I just was not impressed with their tacos. The burrito was lacking as well. Steak was a but chewy and fatty. I feel their meat needs to better. Nothing stood out for me.
Overall – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
So would I come here again? If a friend wanted to get food here I wouldn’t mind eating here and trying a different plate. I wouldn’t come back alone. So if you enjoy basic tasting tacos this might be your place.

Very good portion size for the amount I paid. Very nice ambience. Felt relaxed . I had chicken black beans and rice. So much better compared to the overhyped halal guys at downtown nyc

This was my first time here, and let me say this best quesadillas hands down!!! It’s a little hidden gem in Bayonne but it packs a punch! I highly recommend this restaurant you’ll leave satisfied!!!

The food here is amazing and with so much flavor with such large portions! The atmosphere is great and quaint. The service is friendly and welcoming. Price is very reasonable, the food does take a little time to come out but that’s because everything is freshly made. I will definitely come back again!!

I’ve been twice to this cozy little spot and both times the food has been excellent! Fish soup is beyond good, and the typical Guatemalan breakfast (desayuno Chapin) was delicious and hearty! The owners are warm and welcoming. Will try to become a regular and go as often as I can!

This is my family’s favorite Restaurant. We have been going here countless of times and have made this local restaurant our home kitchen favorite away from home. The food is made with True Love. The family that owns the restaurant is a wonderful genuinely loving family. The quality of the food is exceptional and the quality of service the same. I’ve tasted many dishes (all delicious) but my favorite is the garnachas!! And since I am Central American as well, I can vouch for the authenticity of the food. When I’m here, it feels like I’m eating in my motherland of Guatemala!! I highly recommend it to everyone!!

Delicious and authentic, this restaurant is one of your best options for Guatemalan food in New Jersey. There are excellent traditional dishes as well as more mainstream fare. Everything is cooked to order also so it’s super fresh; and the service made me feel like I was back in my grandma’s house- just delightful. If you’re in the Bayonne/ Hudson area you won’t regret trying this restaurant (also your wallet will thank you as everything is reasonably priced.)

We arrived just before closing but they were still friendly and greeted us with a smile. The tacos were good and they have the largest empanadas I have seen! (Also delicious) staff is friendly and the environment is clean and welcoming. Enjoy your meal!
