Our experience was beyond what we expected. We were greeted at the door after arriving about 2 hours before closing and were sat right away. Warm chips and salsa were brought straight away and drinks soon thereafter. I ordered the smothered chicken, and my husband ordered the steak (6oz sirloin) and chicken with an additional shrimp skewer. Everything came out promptly and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were creamy and cooked well, and the baked potato was dripping with delicious butter.
The facility itself was well decorated and CLEAN. And the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.
Definitely would eat there again when we’re in town.

It is a family run business. They need someone at the door seating people there was a little bit of a wait. Don’t know if they did not have a loaded potato option or forgot. Wife thought the steak was cold.

The food was great, I’m not going to lie. I enjoyed all of it. The service… not so much. We sat there for almost an hour before getting our drinks, and they practically refused to refill our drinks. I think its common courtesy to put them at the end of the table as kind of a polite hint to say we need refills, but our waitress only came by twice, and both times ignored the cups and just asked if we enjoyed the food. Not only was that frustrating, but she would walk away before we could even answer. If all of that wasn’t enough, the final straw was that we didn’t even get one of the drinks. We told her not to worry and we were going to just ask that it be taken off the bill, but she insisted on getting it in a to go cup, I think just to be sure that she didn’t miss out on the $3 charge…
I could understand if they were busy or if she was having a rough day or even multiple large tables. But she only had 2. And they were right next to us, complaining about the same things. When she wasn’t standing around doing nothing, they would walk around and wipe off tables that didn’t need cleaning. Literally watched our waitress wipe off the same table 3 times without a single soul ever touching it. And there were several people on staff, so I don’t believe there was a shortage that day. Just a bad time overall.

The family decided to give Torres a chance tonight. If I’m honest we were hesitant due to other reviews. I’m so happy we decided to give it a try!!!!!!! Our server was just awesome! I think she was a manager or owner, regardless she was awesome! We have a teenager a toddler and an infant. They made all of us feel welcome and accommodated our needs. My ribeye was cooked perfect! The fajitas were wonderful as well. Food was brought out quickly and everyone was so friendly! We will certainly be back often! If you haven’t tried it or if it’s been a while I definitely suggest giving it a shot or another chance! Impressed! Thank you!

This was the second time in a week I was there. I will say the food is very good. The service leavessomething to be desired. The first time our waitress “forgot us”, forgot we were her table, forgot to put our order in, actually she forgot she took our order,, forgot we needed refills. She did say she was sorry, but after waiting over and hour for our food, it was too little too late. Oh, but she did take our drinks off the tab. She said come back and give us another try…..
Today, unfortunately we had the same waitress. She took our order, didn’t bring any chips and salsa, didn’t get refills until asked, brought out tea with NO ice in it. She said she was sorry and proceeded to complain about another table she was waiting on. Then her “runner”, her words not mine, brought out the first meal, 5 minutes later another, she HANDED my plate to me with oven mitts on, and yes it burned my hand! 5 minutes later the last one. The last one was cold!!! It was not meant to be cold, but it was. It was sent back and reheated. Then as we were leaving, there was another lady at the check out telling them how bad her service was and that she’d not be back. I stepped up and the lady behind the counter says to the other counter person, “I’ll tell you a little story about her in a minute” I paid my bill and got out of there. Like I said the food was good, the service is horrible! I won’t be back and I know 3 other couples who said they’ll not go back either! I don’t think this restaurant will be open long unless they make some serious changes!!!!

Love this place. The workers are so nice, and the food is very good. I think it’s thoughtful of them to still offer the Sunday buffet. This place was The Depot restaurant for decades and a staple of the community. Going to Sunday buffet after church was a family tradition for many folks. Thanks to Torres for keeping the tradition going.

Took the family here for dinner, and was very happy! The wait staff were amazing, and the food was fantastic!! Yes, the service was a little slow. However, to those who have complained about it, keep in mind two facts: 1.) They are severely understaffed; 2.) It is a brand new location for Torres, with all new staff (kitchen and wait). Those two factors combined do make for a longer wait even when the restaurant isn’t busy. But the wait is worth it!! My steak and chicken fajitas were delicious! Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Also, we ordered their Cheesecake Chimichangas to go as a desert. (We were the first customer to order that at the Stanford location.) SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

We found Torres by mistake, we were planning on eating at the restaurant that was there previously, we haven’t been in the area for years. We love Mexican food and decided to give it a try. It was one of the best Mexican meals that we have ever had, and we’ve had many. The food and service was excellent, and the staff is super friendly. We live well over an hour away, but are returning with friends very soon.
Torres Mexican Steakhouse was a delightful surprise, and I encourage anyone in the area to give it a visit soon.

Was so disappointed and dissatisfied food just ok. Service was horrible, the Mexican lady was very very rude. My grandson had a Birthday dinner there did even come out and wish him happy Birthday. They said we thought you might have been here longer. We were there over 2 hours. Forgot different things that went with what we ordered. She come out several times bringing drinks, my grandson ask her 4 times , when she still hadn’t brought it, I ask she said give me a minute. She had had almost 30 minutes and had brought other drinks. Very very bad experience. Do not recommend ..sure nothing like the depot with service and friendliness.
