Yesterday we visited this Agave Azul location for our first time. We visited the one on Kirkman many times before but it’s been a while. We ordered Queso Blanco ($9), Street Corn ($10), Nachos Libre ($15) and Chili Rellenos ($15). We loved the queso and street corn(served off the cob)…although I feel like the portion size of street corn could have been a bit more plentiful. The nachos were served in a single layer with some having ground beef, some with chicken, some with beans and some with just cheese. The only one we didn’t care for were the ones with beef. We ate them, they were our least favorites.
The Chili Rellenos was served with two large chili Rellenos, rice and refried beans. This was enough to take home half for another meal and this was tasty.
The dining room was comfortable and feels upscale.
Our server was Ella and she was friendly and as attentive as we wanted.
This is a great place to go for a nice Mexican food experience.

Agave Azul is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! It has a fun, lively atmosphere and a beautiful indoor/outdoor wrap around bar. The guacamole is divine and the fish tacos were delicious. Chips and salsa sre always fresh.

Mariale suggested the shrimp ceviche and its like “kilawin” to the filipino palate.. awesome -highly recommended! for the main, we had churrasco and it was also superb! carne asada was also great (cousin ordered that but we tried it)… i dont know how much it cost, but with the free nachos and all, overall a very pleasant experience. music wasn’t too loud, and other guests are decent (not like the rowdy kind) -comfortable place to dine in.. place is clean too, including the restroom.. thanks Mariale!

Love getting a bite to eat at Agave Azul. Food is always delicious. The ambiance is great as well as the margaritas. We had Leo as our waiter when we went. He was very attentive and informed us on the deals of the day. He checked on us multiple times and always made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t recommend enough! You’ll definitely leave on a full stomach.

Our go to spot for food and drinks. One of our friend has food restrictions and this inside of the places where she can actually order something. Great drinks, always. Food is always on point. Love their empanadas. Thanks to our server Tiago for being patient and taking great care of us.

Had a great time at Agave Azul but there were some issues:
First of all, the salsa that comes standard with the chips is terrible. It basically tasted like Hunts tomato paste. We opted to get the salsa trio for five dollars and that definitely helped as all three of the salsa were very tasty. However, salsa is really a condiment. It should come at no charge with the chips. You shouldn’t have to pay extra in order to get decent tasting salsa.
The first margarita we had was on the rocks and I want to say had some pineapple in it. It was very tasty and well worth the happy hour prize. However, our second drink was the frozen, and it was so sweet that we couldn’t even finish it.
We enjoyed both of the dishes that we had. However, the tacos are very expensive for what they are. It was $18 for three small street tacos with less than a quarter of a pound meat in them with some cilantro and white onion. Again, they were tasty, but not near enough food for the amount of money that they were charging.
Our waitress wasn’t great. She seemed kind of aloof a lot of the time. The booth that we sat in, was also in terrible shape and looked like it had been ripped to shreds. For the price, this place could afford cloth napkins as well. This wasn’t a picnic, after all. I would probably reupholster the booths before allowing people to sit in them again. It’s likely that we will try them again, but these are things that I would look for when reading reviews.

Oct. 7, 2025, visited Agave Azul Mexican Restaurant, because it had excellent reviews. As a foodie and someone who travels a lot and has a business, it truly did not disappoint me. I have been to many Mexican restaurants and have not been good as this one. To me this restaurant is on top of my Mexican restaurants list. The waitress Ella, was an exceptional waitress. Ella professionalisms, kindness and her very attentiveness, were outstanding to many I have encountered. I truly will recommend Ella as your waitress, and trust me you will definitely be not disappointed. The manager Heren, came over to make sure we were satisfied with service and food. Her professionalism and kindness were very caring of her. The food we had was as followed:Guacamole De Casa , was tasty and delicious. 2: Birria Brisket tacos, were one of the best I had to eat. The only difference was that it was served in a cutting board with rice on it as well. Which I did voice my concern, since it can be contaminated if not properly cleaned. Other than that it was delicious! 3: Also had the Text -Mex , this plate was also delicious. In all this place is a Gem, I will definitely be back. I encourage many to go to this restaurant and ask for Ella. You will not be disappointed!

First time here, very clean it was a bit loud inside due alot of customers. We decided to dine on the patio, it was a shaded and breezy, perfect for dining. We ended up spending hours sitting outside. We ordered the device, nachos and Empanadas. Drinks were Passionfruit Margarita and a Strawberry Margarita.Our meals came fairly quickly, our server checked on us several times as well. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
