Great food and location, plenty of parking. Restaurant has booths on the left and tables in the middle. Sushi bar seats along the right with the chefs. The wait was short, they had to clean a table for us, 2 adults 2 kids. Prompt greeting and drink order. The food came out very fast. Our appetizer came out a minute before the rolls and bento boxes arrived. Delicious food. Prices $15 and up.
I had a beer and the wife hot sake, waters all around. Zero refills of water, never asked if we’d like another round of drinks. Zero pre-bussing, people cannot stand to be in front of their dirty dishes.
Other than this, good experience and close to home.

My experience here… was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Even saying that is an UNDERSTATEMENT. The sushi… guaranteed fresh, clean, amazing taste all around, and of possibly the highest quality. I had ordered the “Amigo”, “Jessica”, and the spicy tuna fries, (See photos below) all of which were immensely delicious and a MUST-try. I was so full, yet still kept eating because of the flavors of everything were extraordinary. The price-to-portion ratio, no doubt you are getting your monies worth. The atmosphere is very clean, very well organized, and GREAT MUSIC. The service provided from our amazing server, Michelle, the most kind-hearted, up-spirited, and energetic person to ever come across, a comedian at that also! She was incredibly polite and generous to offer a seared salmon to my table free of charge. That was, hands down, the best seared salmon I’ve ever had and I am definitely craving more of it. That being said, Toro Sushi is a HIDDEN GEM and my new go-to sushi spot, in all of southern California. Do not hesitate to visit and dine-in. WE LOVED YOU MICHELLE, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

What else can we say about this place?! Sushi is always fresh. Wife tried the Black Garlic Ramen and she scarfed it all down! Don’t forget to order their Calamari tempura. So good!!

We were driving back from Joshua Tree Park when we saw this sushi place. My favorite food by far, and the place looked pretty nice. Great ambiance, excelent service and the food was delicious. Good size rolls, and food plates that made our trip back to San Diego smooth.

I eat here all the time. My wife loves the sushi but I usually order from the kitchen and nothing I have ordered has disappointed! The Chicken Katsu Curry is a favorite of mine but I also like the Tonkatsu Ramen is also a great option. Something else slightly outside the box is the baked salmon roll. It is a california roll with a large portion of salmon on top and then baked in an oven. It is a savory treat.

Sushi is fresh and delicious. Love that they have “basic” options for the kids like chicken strips and fries. Service is always great. So excited to have a new sushi restaurant close to us!

Do you like that fake imitation crab on all of your sushi? Imitation crab inside AND outside? Regular imitation crab? Spicy imitation crab? How about a little imitation crab with that imitation crab with a side of imitation crab? Well friends, if you like sushi rolls priced according to the amount of imitation crab stuffed in them this is the place for you!
Edit: I am well aware most sushi restaurants use imitation crab. The issue Im pointing to is that some seem to use a TON of it in their rolls. Also, considering it is a cheaper substitute for real crab, a restaurant using it extensively may be trying to turn a quick profit, especially if these rolls are priced the same as those with more expensive fish.

Ordered Salmon Lover’s Special Sushi set and an Alaskan roll. The salmon was fresh and fatty. Top quality and they make sure to provide all sauces and utensils with our to go. Recommend this place if you like salmon and are craving sushi or sashimi.

Dined here once and ordered their sushi and combination bento. Everything tasted decent, even the miso soup and salad. But I feel like some rolls tasted the same. On another day, I ordered 2 kinds of ramen for takeout and none of them tasted good. They were really bland and tasteless. Too bad coz everything else we ate there were good.
