I really like Toro, it is a beautiful restaurant and the service is usually excellent. This time the hostess was very rude, actually with everyone. So not a good start. Our waiter was very good though. Appetizers were not good, the ceviche smelled fishy and had no flavor. The beet salad had almost no cheese, so not good. The main dishes were excellent!! Breaded Chicken and Beef Filet special. Desert was not good at all, we live the Churro’s here but they tasted like bad oil, so bad. So all in all it was okay.

This is a great place for dinner. Great atmosphere, very modern looking place. We had a great dinner. It is the summer months here and they sat us outside, the bugs were bad and we requested to sit inside which they promptly did. The drinks are great, I had the smoky old fashion which was quite creative! The lobster quesadilla was delicious, the shrimp and crab enchiladas were great, and I had a steak dish that was full of flavor and the steak was great. The service is excellent, the only negative I had was that my dish could have been hotter. This place is more expensive than many places but it is a great experience.

Took my girlfriend for dinner at Toro Latin and it was a standout experience. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, with dim lighting, lush outdoor seating, and a lively energy that makes it ideal for a night out.

The food blends Latin and Asian influences in a way that feels both creative and refined. We had the tuna tataki, shrimp & crab enchiladas, roasted cauliflowers, pork belly & scallops, catch of the day—all packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Cocktails were just as impressive—well-balanced, refreshing, and fun to explore.

Service was friendly and polished, and the staff really took time to explain dishes and make the night feel personal.

Whether you’re into sushi, steak, or Latin fusion, Toro delivers on all fronts. Great for a date night, birthday dinner, or just treating yourself while in Cabo.

Absolutely incredible dinner!. Food was top-notch. Presentation was in packable. The ham was so worth it. It was delicious. I would have ordered three plates. All the sushi was incredibly creative and presented extremely well. Can’t wait to go back!.

While the drinks were delicious and creative, the food was honestly quite disappointing. When the oysters arrived, I was speechless at their tiny size. They were about 1 inch long, similar to the size of clam meat. We also got a grilled octopus, salmon, and some ceviche but none was memorable. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was chill, but for the price point I was expecting much better food. I wouldn’t recommend this place for food; for drinks it would be nice, but it is difficult to get a reservation.

Can I live here? The best meal I had in Cabo period. I could of come back and ate here a few times on the same trip. The service was perfect. The food was ridiculously good. A couple of the drinks were some I’ll be thinking about for a long time. 10/10.

The attitude and communication style of the hostess, Laura, leave a lot to be desired and reflect very poorly on the restaurant. Hopefully, she can improve her customer service and the way she communicates with guests.

Here’s what happened:
Last night, my partner and I had dinner at 8:30 pm. Earlier that day, at 5:30 pm, I called the restaurant to ask if smoking was allowed. Laura, the hostess, answered the phone and confirmed that it was, specifically telling me she would note a terrace table for that reason.

When we arrived, Laura recognized us and confirmed that we had requested a terrace table, asking us to wait a few minutes for one to become available. Up to that point, everything was fine. However, at the end of dinner, I asked for an ashtray to smoke a cigar and was told by the waiter that smoking was not allowed. I explained that the hostess had told me over the phone that it was permitted, and he said it must have been a miscommunication.

Laura then came over again, and this is the main reason for my rating. Instead of addressing the issue politely, she made mocking facial expressions and tried to put me in an awkward position, saying, “I understand your point, but it’s federal law.” I wasn’t arguing the law — I was simply pointing out that she was the one who told me over the phone that smoking was allowed on the terrace, which is why we were seated there.

If smoking isn’t allowed on the terrace and guests are required to go to a designated smoking area, that’s completely fine and understandable. What isn’t acceptable is giving incorrect information and then handling the situation in an unprofessional and unpleasant way.

That said, the food was very good, and our waiter was excellent, offering great recommendations and providing outstanding service throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the hostess’s attitude was the only thing that negatively affected an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

Dinner for two at Toro. Empanadas appetizer was good as was the sea bass served over a tabletop hibachi. The shrimp and crab enchiladas were ok – perhaps a personal preference, but it was prepared with whole shrimp with tails. Service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was mixed – we were seated away from the main area by the fountain, which would have been romantic if not for the family of 6 with 4 small children next to us. I don’t understand why restaurants do this when there is plenty of other seating available but it detracted from what was an otherwise good meal.
