Atmosphere
It feels old and the setup is awkward

price
The price is alright, have a great selection of cooked menu but only a few sushi choice

services
The server was fine, we did call in ahead of time to see how busy they were, were told there is no wait. Ten min later when we arrive there actually a few group in front of us…they have a min charge at $50 per person if you want to make reservation

Taste
Everything we ordered, from the udon, sushi, fish, app and steak, were excellent!

Super cute place with lots of unique dishes! There are only a handful of full sized entrees, they specialize in small plates and everything was extremely fresh and delicious!

Super kind vibes, love the ambience. I’d reccomend going early or after 7 to avoid the rush. Great choices of foods. Perfect for sharing and a drink.

Restaurant interior awkwardly laid out and unremarkable. We tried taking a pic but the chef told us rudely not to. A simple “please do not take a picture of the restaurant” would have been fine but he was almost confrontational saying “you don’t see me trying to take a picture of you”. News flash: you run a restaurant. People like me will post pictures of the inside and the food. Service was sub par as they forgot our beer and didn’t apologize when we asked about it. The clams were salty and the ramen was average at best. Certainly not worth $18. Will not be returning.

Nothing short of amazing! I think I very much found a hidden gem with this little place that’s tucked into the far end of a strip mall.

Minimal English on the part of my server but that just enhanced the experience. One of the sushi chefs spoke great English so I was able to sort out dinner.

I started with a salmon hand roll. Very fresh and maybe 30-seconds between the chef’s hands and my first bite. Simple yet perfect.

I also had Agadashi tofu – big portion, great broth, served piping hot and delicious.

I grabbed one of their pressed box sushi offerings and I’m glad I tried it. Salmon was slightly charred on top and what a neat approach. I’ll keep an eye open for that style whenever I’m having sushi from now on.

The final item I ordered was on a separate printed sheet that arrived with the menu. Description was in Japanese but subtitled in English. It was wasabi-marinated octopus. I was the only white guy in the place and apparently the only white guy to ever order this dish. Over the course of the meal, about half of the staff came by to see if I was eating it. Of course! It was really delicious! Someone isn’t likely to step from their first California roll to that dish but I’ve been enjoying sushi for over 40 years and found it one of the more unusual but thoroughly enjoyable and off the beaten path dishes I’ve ever had. Fresh wasabi and an almost ceviche-like mouth feel combined to make it a great experience and I’m glad I tried it, even if the staff didn’t believe I really liked it.

Looking for a nice place for sashimi and nigiri. After seeing the photos and reviews, thought it is the place to go.
Went at lunch time, and they only serve a very limited lunch selections, mostly fried meats lunch box… no where on the website says that. Ok… no problem, returned at dinner time, and ordered what I thought would be very traditional Japaneses choices, but was disappointed by the service… they brought out main course before appetizers. And the chirashi was just average

Had the mini beef curry, fried mackerel, warm sake and Berkshire pork cutlet. Food is delicious but I will wait till I come back to try other stuff.

The waitress confidently and professionally advised my friend not to order a dish (we already had two entrees and an app) and accommodated by changing the extra item slightly to make it smaller. 10 stars.
AND THE FOOD IS AMAZING.
Chicken curry: chicken is so soft and crunchy; the curry sauce had little seasoned pieces of beef that really caught me by surprise. It was so good. It was so good the only picture I could get is my empty plate.

A friend recommended this place to me and I absolutely love this place. Some my personal favorites: sesame spinach, beef tongue, wasabi scallops, and agedashi tofu. Typically busy on Friday/Saturday nights, so it would be wise to make a reservation over the phone

Consistently the best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan. I go here at least once a month. It is elegant, authentic Japanese cuisine, the service is polite and quick, and the resturaunt is very clean. Highly recommend.
