The food is always delicious and fresh!! Best sushi I’ve ever had and I’m a HUGE sushi fan. They’re kitchen entrees are full of flavor you want to lick the plate clean. Definitely a hidden gem and worth the visit.

I’ve been feeling something was off lately. I come to this restaurant quite often, but recently I noticed the business has gotten much worse. And now I understand why. This is the second time this week I’ve seen cockroaches here. I won’t be coming back anymore.

Man sushi and sashimi are such simple and perfect pieces of food. Torigo has undoubtedly mastered this delicacy. They must have a direct line to the pacific ocean in their kitchen because this seafood tastes so fresh, and I can hear the fish chirping and battling chefs in my soundscape.

I’d definitely look into getting a reservation for this place.

All the best,
Gabriel

I’ve been coming to Torigo for over 12 years, took my wife on dates and bringing my kids since they were babies. The sushi has always been fresh and high quality, and that part hasn’t changed, even if prices have gone up a bit. We usually go early to avoid the evening rush and always enjoy the food.

What has changed, unfortunately, is the service. It used to be excellent, but lately it feels like it’s gone downhill. On our last visit, our server forgot water completely, brought kids apple juice in a large glass with ice and then had to go back for a kids cup, and barely cleared plates and trash (chopstick papers, straw tops, empty bottles etc.) from the table. When we asked for takeout, it felt like an inconvenience. When we got home, the sushi was tossed into Styrofoam containers, falling apart and mixed together. I was hoping they’d be more careful.

I don’t expect fine dining treatment, but after so many years as a loyal customer, I do expect a little care. There is one server who’s always good (she’s usually at the front), but overall the service just doesn’t match the quality of the food anymore. I’ll still go because it’s a good sushi place right near us, but it’s disaapointing it’s gone downhill in terms of service.

The food here is great. They have great sushi, sashimi and also hot items. They are always busy so try to come in early. The place is not too big so sometimes they do have a long wait time. Their sushi is always fresh and they do a great job in presentation as well. Their fried ice cream is always a family favorite. The service is very friendly and fast. The atmosphere on friday/sat/sunday is always busy and packed. I only gave them one less star for service since one time my daughter made a reservation and there was a miscommunication on their end, where somehow they didn’t reserve the table. So that day was not so great but otherwise they are usually pretty good.

Took a chance and tried their omakase at the counter and was pleasantly surprised. The chef and the server were both very thorough in explaining each piece and the chef was very accommodating when I was getting full and asked for a smaller rice portion. They offer very generous cuts of fish and very fresh too. No need for a long drive out to the city when craving some omakase.

Very nicely decorated, great ambiance, great selection of music, service was second to none, and the food was excellent. Ordered shrimp shumai, steamed vegetables with dipping sauce, unagi don, sushi combo 2, and green tea/tempura ice cream.

Good portions, reasonable pricing, fresh, and incredibly satisfying, will definitely be back again!

Came here with a friend. My first visit. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. Sometimes a little to attentive taking your plates away as quickly as you finish them. The sushi was fantastic, rolls were great and flavorful. We tried a variety of rolls and all were good eats. Come in early before 6 pm to get a seat. Fill quickly after that.

My family and I have loved this restaurant’s food for the past 13 years. I’ve recommended it to many friends as a great place to eat.
However, the taste, quality, and quantity have steadily declined, and today, when I visited with my husband, we were deeply disappointed.
The price of sashimi had gone up by about 25%, and the taste and quantity were abysmal. The tuna, in particular, had a texture that was forced and lacked the charm of its aged flavor.
This sushi is no different from what you’d find at the supermarket.
I was shocked and disappointed by the drastic change! I lost my favorite shusi place today…

This is a high quality sushi restaurant. The quality of raw fish and rice is quite high. Tastes really fresh and yummy. The restaurant is cozy and the bar area has a good Japanese style. Hot sake is good. I would sit at the bar, order a sake or Ichiban and order a sushi and an appetizer.
