I read somewhere that the name of the restaurant translates to “chicken bar” which is exactly what Toridokoro Raku is. They specialize in practically every part of the chicken. And it is all delicious. They grill everything on a Robata grill using imported Japanese binchotan charcoals. It makes all the difference. As do all the other details like the Japanese condiments and sauces to the type of chicken and high quality meats they use. The unused bits of binchotan charcoals as chopstick holders was also a nice touch. It all adds up to a very authentic and satisfying Japanese grilling experience. From the service, to the meats I had a great experience start to finish. Will happily come back again and again.

Today, I visited Raku Dori with a group of friends, and once again, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was consistently clean, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. Every dish reflected the restaurant’s dedication to quality and freshness, and you could truly taste the effort that goes into each plate.
What made our visit even more special was the exceptional service provided by our server, Hanna. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were absolutely spot-on and enhanced our dining experience tremendously. Thanks to her thoughtful suggestions and outstanding hospitality, our time at Raku Dori was not only delicious but also genuinely memorable. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

This place is definitely a good experience as an introduction to someone who hasn’t done a Japanese Omakase and/or someone that isn’t into raw fish. The reason why is because this is an Omakase where the main ingredient they utilize is chicken and the price point isn’t as high compared to sushi omakases.

The best thing about Omakase is that you don’t have to really look at the menu. The chef will serve you items that they suggest and you may even be able to try some new things. They will take you on a journey through different types of flavors and textures with the base of it primarily chicken.

The omakase alone is pretty good, but you can also order additional dishes if you like. You may even come across something that you like and you can even order extra of that also. With the omakase and maybe one extra dish, I was pretty full so I wouldn’t
suggest to over order from the very beginning.

We did the omakase with a sake pairing which is pretty nice when it comes to omakases. The drinks kind of bring you on a journey of flavors that can help pair with the food you’re eating. Not to mention you also get to drink and eat at the same time which is always nice.

We had a reservation right when they opened so it was pretty empty and chill. We noticed that some people didn’t have a reservation, but since they weren’t booked, they were able to seat them.

The ambiance is pretty cool especially when you sit at the bar. You get to watch the chef grill skewers which can be similar to watching a bartender make several of your drinks.

It was 10pm and I was craving a snack! We stumbled upon Toridokoro Raku. They had my favorite (tsukune) and the wing was so good too! Hana and Angela were AMAZING hosts, from when we called in to when we were seated we felt the hospitality and above and beyond service. Love a place that hits amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere!

What an amazing yakitori chicken spot.

One note: yes, RSVPs have to be done through phone. I have heard some of the not so friendly stories about this, but I was super fortunate to have called close to the opening time and easily get a reservation time for the next day. Your mileage may vary!

Coming to Toridokoro Raku, compared to Raku, you’ll notice it’s sleek and modern. Even though there are several grills in the side of the restaurant and open to the rest of the restaurant, the ventilation system they use is wonderful. We did not come out smelly at all after we ate here.

We got bar seating and loved watching the whole process which was wonderful and being handed several of the skewers. As mentioned before as well, this is focused on mostly just chicken items with a few other non-chicken items. There is also an omakase option, but we opted to go a la carte which was pretty good as we ended up with about a little over 11+ items which came out to about a little under $100.

I got the cold hojicha which was wonderful. A few of our favorite skewers/items included: the chicken heart, skin, ground chicken with poached egg (only feedback was that the poached egg came out really early and the ground chicken does take a while), chicken oyster (so, so good), sweet potato with irish butter, and mushroom. You can really taste the charcoal and some nice flourishing touches like the oil in the mushroom.

This ended up being one of our favorite spots this Vegas trip and would totally go back.

Raku is one of my favorite yakitori spots in Vegas. The homemade tofu is outstanding—don’t miss it with the green tea salt. The chicken tail skewer is perfectly grilled, juicy, and flavorful. A must-visit for authentic Japanese grilling.

Everything was prepared to perfection. I sat at the bar, I love watching everything unfold in front of my eyes. Placing of the binchotan charcoal, preparation of the meat and the slow cooking process of the yakitori, tomatoes and other various items from the menu. The serving staff and chefs alike were kind, Friendly and yet not overly talkative. The food arrived at the perfect temperature and seasoned as you hope it would. Like the 3 little bears, it was just right! I didn’t take photos of everything I ate, honestly the food was so good that I forgot to take all the photos. Too many flavor profiles made to perfection that I was just enjoying the moment. The Duck Foie Gras is not to be missed as well as the uni bowl special of the day. Thank you Toridokoro Rami staff, I can’t wait for my next visit. ごちそさまでした!( ◠‿◠ )

My favorite restaurant in Vegas. Also IMO the closest thing to eating in Japan in America. Simple. Traditional. Excellence in every bite. Service is also extremely good. Love these folks. Thank you – it feels like a privilege to be able to dine here

My bf and I are both picky eaters. Today we basically try everything on the menu but the omakase we left for next time. I will def come back next time travel here.

I am a tofu person, highly recommend the tofu soup, mango pudding, clear soup noodles.

Trust me, this is a place won’t be wrong for a date or important time.
Plus, it opens till 2 AM in the morning.

Omakase experience was worth it but next time I think we’ll just go for skewered and sides to explore more of the menu. Great little spot but seating is limited so recommend to go with a reservation.
