The hostess and food runners were not very cordial, which was a bummer because our waiter was FANTASTIC. He entirely made up for the lack of service from the other two staff members we interacted with. The food was fantastic. The only thing I would suggest would be serving the cole slaw on a separate cold plate (away from the hot items) because the fries got somewhat cold from the cole slaw and the cole slaw became slightly lukewarm by being served on a hot plate. The rest of the experience was great and we would definitely come back.

My guy and I both had fish. Him walleye and me a Parmesan crusted whitefish special. They were both good but quite pricy, our server was ok and the decor was cute. Mysteriously, just after we finished eating it got very warm at our table. To the point that I was sweating. It had been comfortable while we were eating, but I joked that once we were done, the light above our table turned into a heat lamp so we would leave.

I got the sweet potato hash. It was more of a deconstructed dish than I expected but still good. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash could have used more pork belly IMO. The strawberry jam is BOMB!
Stop at the lunch box on your way out for a coffee to go and other goodies.
Just one minute down the road is a public access to torch lake. It’s beautiful.

Misty was our server for dinner when we visited and she was super friendly and provided great service. The facility is very clean and well decorated, it gave a unique feel and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious. I got the truffle ravioli and it was delicious. We finished the meal with the flourless chocolate cake and it was plenty big enough to share.

Worst Valentine’s Day service ever! We had a 6pm reservation and we arrived at 5:45 and we were seated promptly by the host. We waited for 45 minutes until got the attention of a busier to get our waitress. She informed us that she didn’t know that this was her table…. Meanwhile the host had seated many other gust in our area. We sat for 45 minutes without any of the staff questioning why we didn’t have drinks or our order taken. We did not get the first course until 7:20 and waited 20 minutes + in between each course. I never got any refills on my drink. My back started hurting after two hours in that hard chair. So we left before getting dessert. We were NOT comped for anything and barely offered an apology after being there for a total of 2 and a half hours! They did box up the dessert quickly after we waited a half hour for it. My wife and I came in happy and left frustrated and angry.

Would definitely recommend stopping here for dinner!! We had an odd interaction with the hostess but our waitress was very nice! The food was a bit pricey but the portions were all larger than expected. The truffle fries were delicious (so much so that I didn’t snap a picture fast enough) and we also loved the summertime salad! They had jerk chicken as the special and that was also really good. There was live music and a nice overall atmosphere inside.

My family and I had a wonderful time at torch lake cafe. The food was amazing, we were very happy with all of our selections. Our service was wonderful, I can’t remember our servers name but she did a great job. The entertainment was also awesome! The owner of the restaurant is the entertainment, I thought that was very cool. My sister has a 3 year old and he was dancing away in the front row.
We will return to try more of the menu. There are limited restaurant options in this area, and it’s nice to know that this place is a total stand out.

I also was there for valentine’s dinner also. I pretty much had the same experience as the review I’ve read on here. We were there 2 1/2 hrs. Very frustrating.It took too long in between each course meal. Overpriced for what we got. I seen another people get lobster tail like i did and they actually got a lobster tail. I got pieces of a lobster with some sauce inside my tail shell. I got a cup of soup, everybody else got a bowl.I don’t know if it’s because we didn’t have reservations or not? But I had the same meal they had, but littler. I didn’t quite understand that?? My husband dessert was as big as a shot glass. I was suppose to get chocolate molten cake, didn’t look like that at all. I guess I didn’t look at the menu very well either. Because I thought it was $65 for a couple. It was sixty five dollars per person, which was not worth it. That’s the second time we were there and had not a good experience. .So we probably won’t be back again. But good luck to you and your business. Definitely overpriced for what you get. That was NOT a$200.00 meal.

Came in for lunch on a Monday. It wasn’t super busy so we got a table right away.
Our server was friendly and prompt.
The atmosphere here is great as well!
The food though is off the charts. The burger was so delicious and packed with flavor.
The fries were a bit old, but the burger more than made up for it.
