I purchased a turkey burger (drive thru), took a bite and it was raw and gummy inside! Unbelievable. I went back (inside) and showed it to the manager (who apologized) and had a new burger cooked. The manager actually made it right but I won’t be returning anytime soon.

On the way home from work, My wife asks me for Tops for dinner for the family. Best choice we made for Dinner eating out in a long time! There was almost no wait, I couldn’t even finish filling up the drinks for the family and they were calling out my order. Store was so clean, and Dinner was absolutely phenomenal! I strongly suggest the Ribs they’re SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Props to the manager as well, I believe her name is April! She has got an 5 Star team!

The ribs had to be the toughest ribs I’ve ever eaten anywhere. So upset I wasted my money on that meal. My son’s burger was so dry and they couldn’t even make it the way we asked. Only positive thing was the staff was nice while ordering this meal.

TLDR; I’d consider the extra few minutes to find another nearby Top’s. Food, ok. Service, ok. Atmosphere, ok. Cleanliness, concerning.
Food: I got brisket fries, loaded. I felt they skimped a bit on the brisket. Fries were soft, which when paired with sauces basically makes fry shaped mashed potatoes. I couldn’t really pick the fries up without them falling apart. Typically, you’d want them on the crunchy side so it can stay together with sauce. The mac was likely some sort of boxed macaroni. It didn’t have much flavor either. Take a look at the hot sauce. i don’t know what is in that hot sauce bottle, but it isn’t Louisiana hot sauce. I added a picture for comparison. Food was placed on some paper, which ended up falling apart and sticking to my fries. To avoid eating paper, I sacrificed some of my fries…
Service: The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. Nothing really notable with their service.
Atmosphere: Immediately I see their ceiling vents and the massive amount of mold/dirt in and around them. Pretty much all of them looked like this. I can only imagine how much of this stuff is falling/blowing into the food. My table had food crumbs on it, but perhaps it just got over looked.
I personally won’t be returning to this location.

I stopped to pick my disabled mother up dinner so it would save me from having to cook. I ordered her a double burger and a fry. They were not busy at all. When i got home I started plating the food and there is no way Im serving my mom this food. The burger was(COB) cold, old, & black. The fries old freezer burnt and overcooked. The burger was so black and the cheese dried on it like plaster. It literally looked like it was pulled from the trash. Tops use to have A1 burgers I haven’t been here in a while and I regret throwing away my money and time. The worst part is I guess that was the manager who was looking in my order for the longest time before he gave the bag to cashier to give me out the window. So he knew what was going out the window was fit for trash. Never again…

I read some of the reviews and was scared to visit. However I also read that they were working on staffing issues. My expectations were low. However I was surprised to have really good pork. We got the 12 pack with backed beans and burger combo with fries. Everything was good the fries could have been cooked crisper. Great job.

The place is cleaner from last review except some tables but the guy at the counter was very nice and my order was correct. The stars are for the increase in prices and the decrease in amount of food is poor. My fries fit in my palm and not spectacular at all. The beans and the banana pudding come in a tiny styrofoam container for a taste test I think. I’m a thin person and this wouldn’t fill me up. Every other bite is crap pulled brisket as well and NO slaw!?!? Like WTH is wrong here?

I have been a patron at the Millington TOPS for well or a decade (maybe 2 decades) Today’s visit confirms my overall thoughts since the new ownership took over, the portions are smaller than before. Hot and fresh food is a hit and miss.
Today my bill was well over 20 dollars. I asked for a small cup for some water, the young man seemed GLEEFUL to inform me it would be a charge. A CHARGE FOR A SMALL CUP OF WATER.! ! This feels like the new owners are PENNIES WISE AND DOLLAR FOOLISH

I was looking forward to some good Memphis bbq but their pulled pork sandwich tastes like they boil the meat. It’s honestly disgusting. I had to throw it out and find something else. Don’t waste your time or money.

Purchased jumbo pork barbecue sandwich for my evening meal Saturday night from Tops Barbecue in Millington, TN. The sandwich was barely wrapped and looked like it was just thrown together! About 2 hours after eating that sandwich I was so sick to my stomach spending over 30 minutes in the restroom!!! Felt like I had food poisoning…will never go back to Tops Barbecue in Millington!!!
