Absolutely an amazing brewery, definitely one of the best in the world. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Service itself was fast and attentive. Their onsite beer list was epic and they had plenty of good Togo options. The food was quite good and their prices were spot on especially considering how delicious everything tasted.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We came for lunch on Friday and stayed several hours but also returned for lunch on Saturday so we could sample the rest of the beers we wanted to try. The food was good, the service was amazing and there was so much crazy good beer. We were lucky enough to be there when Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout was on draft and it was definitely my favorite. I also really enjoyed Mornin’ Delight (2025), Koselig BA (2025), and Term Oil S’mores. I was a little surprised that the stouts were even better than the IPA’s. But the IPA’s were great too. We really enjoyed King Sue, Imperial Golden Nugget and Kettle Clogger (and many more). We will definitely try to come back another time. I highly recommend a trip to this brewery.

This brewery taproom features their own great beer lineup, tasty gastropub fare from an in-house kitchen, spacious indoor & outside seating, ample parking and chill vibes. In addition to beer, they have seltzers and mixed drinks. Beer is also available to-go.

What a great place in a very unexpected area!! Beautiful, very large building with plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy your time there without feeling crowded. You can view the brewery through several different windows which is a nice touch if you can’t be there on Saturday for a tour. We hadn’t eaten all day and it was 4:00 so we were super hungry and food service was quick! Lani was our super friendly and attentive server that knew the beers very well and picked the perfect ones for us! Great food, nice selection of taps, cocktails and fabulous service, definitely 5+ stars!

There is no contact for complaints on your web page so posting here. You all have massive quality control issues. Out in Denver CO i picked up a 4 pack of citra hop drop. When I poured it out into a glass there was a mayfly in the beer. I have never seen this before in my life. Disgusting. It was packaged 10.29.2025. You might want to look into the rest of the mayfly batch. Be better.

Large building, open floor plan, a little understaffed for as busy as it was, but the beer was good and I even found a glass of wine at a brewery 🙂

We took a tour of the brewery (tours are only offered on Saturdays) and I’m glad we paid ahead of time because we drove over three hours to Toppling Goliath and it was a full tour with about 19 people. Tour was $10 a person and we got a glass at the end of the tour and a beverage to sip on during the tour. The tour lasted about an hour.

They feature a burger of the month and also had wraps, pizza and fry food. We didn’t eat, we just sat at one of the high top tables and people watched.

Lots of foot traffic, almost all of the tables were full but there was also a big Iowa football game on (lots of TVs to watch the game on)

Took over 10 minutes for someone to initially greet us and take our beer order at the “express” area where you just line up to grab drinks.

Fun afternoon outing, would probably be even better if we go again and sit outside at the fire pit tables on the patio. The patio wasn’t open the day we went.

Toppling Goliath Brewery in Decorah never disappoints! Awesome beer, friendly staff, and a great patio — the perfect spot to soak up Iowa’s fall weather.

We stopped in on a Saturday at lunchtime. The place was busy but not crowded, so we had no wait. Service was great throughout our visit. The interior dining room is a large open space, very industrial, with the brewery visible through windows in the wall; the factory wasn’t in operation during our visit. A gift shop fills one end of the dining room.

We started off with the local cheese curds. To be pedantic, these are not curds but large cubes of cheese. That said, they are absolutely delicious, the breading crisp and wonderful, the cheese lusciously molten. I asked our server for a recommendation on the dip, and he said he liked the pizza sauce best. We went for that, and loved the combo.

I was happy that they had one cider offering, a can from the local maker, Convergence. My husband got a beer flight. I liked how the flight was set up with cards that identified the content of each glass.

I ordered the salmon salad. It was delicious. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich. He thought it was tasty, but strangely small, especially considering the $19 price.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Toppling Goliath.

This place is huge, great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed they didn’t have a regular Porter or so, they had three or four, but they were all imperials or barrel aged. Merchandise? They had a whole store over on the side. Typical breweries don’t have full restaurants but, this place did food was fantastic.

What a great place in Decorah! The food is excellent and the drinks are too. Service…. Well I always hate to crash on the service but this time I have to because it wasn’t real good.
The place offers tours on Saturday and they have fun events on the their schedule. It’s HUGE inside and they have a beautiful outside area as well. Definitely a must stop place……. And guys just wait till you need to use the restroom—— you won’t believe it
