Pizza is normally good here, but get your sides and desserts elsewhere
Tucked away in the heart of the city, Top Tomato Bar is an absolute hidden gem—especially if you’re hunting for the perfect Philly cheesesteak. From the very first bite, I knew I found something special. The ribeye was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Add in that smooth, melty Cooper sharp cheese, and it’s game over. It practically melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting more. The grilled onions gave it the right touch of sweetness, and the toasted roll held it all together like a true classic.
But it doesn’t stop there. I also tried a slice of the Buffalo pizza and Sam’s Special—both were top-tier. Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and that perfect balance of cheese and sauce. Pizza lovers won’t be disappointed.
The service? Outstanding. Friendly, quick, and welcoming. You can tell this place has regulars—and for good reason. There’s even an upstairs space, which I can only imagine gets packed and rowdy in the best way on game days.
I’ll absolutely be back—especially for that cheesesteak. Philly, take note: Top Tomato Bar is the real deal
Immaculate game-day vibes? ✅
Music that somehow knows exactly what I want to hear? ✅
Gluten-free options that don’t feel like an afterthought? BIG ✅
I didn’t once feel like I was “settling,” which is basically the highest compliment a gluten-free person can give. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was buzzing, and I could actually relax, eat, and enjoy the game without playing ingredient roulette.
Massive gratitude to Top Tomato for proving that great sports bars can be inclusive, delicious, and fun all at once. You’ve officially earned a very loyal (and very thankful) gluten-free fan.
I usually just leave a review when I get bad food, but for the first time ever, I felt compelled to call the store and share how bad this experience was. Paid $50 for this abomination after adding gluten free crust, fees, and taxes. Don’t waste your money.
