This is, without a doubt, one of the best meals I’ve had in Surf City. If you love Mediterranean cuisine—or even if you’ve never tried it—this place is a must.
Every dish we ordered was bursting with bold, authentic flavors. You can tell everything is made from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The hummus was creamy and perfectly balanced, the falafel was crisp on the outside and tender inside, and the grilled meats were seasoned to perfection. Even the rice and side salads had amazing flavor and texture.

I had such a great experience at Top Pita! The service was friendly, honest, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. My order was packaged carefully and perfectly for takeout, which I really appreciated.
I was recommended the Greek Salad with lamb & beef gyro meat added to fit my keto diet, and it did not disappoint—it was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First of all, you don’t mess with the Zohan! This place was the BEST dinning experience that I have had in YEARS! We were greeted as soon as we walked in by amazing energy and a smile from the lady there (I failed to catch her name). We told them to make us a chefs choice Chicken Shawarma pita sandwich and it was amazing! The rice and beans, the Greek salad, the hummus, baklava; just from trying all of those and being supremely impressed with the flavors and textures, I guarantee the whole menu is absolutely delicious! If you are visiting Surf City, put this at the top of your list of places to try!! You will not be disappointed!!

Just had an incredible lunch at this spot. The chicken was incredibly flavorful and grilled to perfection. The four salad choice was a wonderful pivot away from all of the less than healthy stuff. I’ve been eating this week lol. That being said I did treat myself to some other fries which were probably the best in town.
Staff was super friendly and really helpful on the menu selections. If you’re in surf city definitely give them a try.

The shawarma was seasoned nicely. The beef was tender. My favorite was the ground beef. They recently opened and are ironing out some things with their menu and process. But the food was good and the service was friendly.

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve found anywhere in NC. The owners said they just opened in the summer of 2025, and it’s a great addition to the Surf City dining scene. I liked the Israeli salad, falafel and chicken shawarma. I’ve lived in Israel when I was younger so I can say that this restaurant is the real deal.

This place is beyond fantastic! The chicken schnitzel pita is so flavorful, the chicken so juicy, the toppings unique and delicious. Their fries are some of the best I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty of fries. These are creamy and crispy at the same time. Looking forward to when they reopen in February 2025.
