Wonderful menu. Great quality and delicious food. Service was really good. I got the Pick 2 Platter with fried catfish filets and fries gulf shrimp. Before my platter came out, they brought out a mini skillet of corn bread and a bowl of coleslaw. For dessert, I ordered the macadamia nut cheesecake.

Definitely recommend!! Great food, Great service, and Great atmosphere!! You get complimentary cornbread and pickled onions. A little pricey but I always say, I am willing to pay a little more as long as the food is great and you get plenty. They did not disappoint!

A really beautiful restaurant to visit in Guntersville. Well run establishment.. Professional and attentive staff and delightful interior filled with memorabilia. It sits on Lake Guntersville with a pier on the water with lovely sunset view. I only had the onion rings and macadamia nut cheesecake both of which were absolutely perfect. I heartily recommend to any reader. Be sure to leave a review and give me a like if you don’t mind

This is my second time at a Top O’The River but the first time at this one. This is a casual, family friendly restaurant. We were seated upstairs. Our server, Maria, seemed to be new (judging by her timidity) but did a great job.
The food was fresh and delicious. I had enough to take some home and make another meal out of it.

We were recommened the catfish and the mustard greens. Both were excellent choices! Service was average. This is a busy place! The view of the lake is nice if you can get it. The cornbread was pretty bland, but had bits of corn in it and was moist enough. The drink cup sizes are enormous. The coleslaw was plentiful and delicious. The major drawbacks of this place, however, is the decor and atmosphere. It is dated, has two floors, and it made us feel like a number rather than, idk, a somebody. The place was like a cafeteria, made to feed the masses. The staff was friendly but too busy to really shine through the sheer number of people they had to serve. We were stuck in a corner without the view of the lake. With about $21 a plate, I dont think we will be back.

When we visited the area, our friends took us to this restaurant. The place is huge and many booths overlook the lake. The decorations included a very larg fish tank in the entry area as well as some large, poster-sized photographs for year ago in the area. It was well worth the visit.

We had a good experience, just a little underwhelmed by the quality of the food. We had a large party (and they were packed on a sat nite) but hit us seated pretty quick. Matthews service was great. Plenty of food to go around but the taste left me a little disappointed.

Loved the view and the up stair seating it was good the food was great minus the pickled onions we didn’t get an option they just brought it. It was a lil pricy for 4 people seeing as 2 were kids meals but none the less a great place to eat

We enjoyed it all. The atmosphere was great. The food was divine! The staff was totally awesome. As we were leaving one member of your restaurant took our picture. We will definitely be back. It is worth the drive.

My boyfriend and I were in Guntersville while I attended a work convention. Neither one of us had visited a Top o The River before, but heard great things. Not only was the food amazing, our waitress (Tamara) made our experience even better! She made us feel at home and like we were talking with an old friend while we enjoyed watching the thunderstorm and hail together. Thank you, Tamara!
