I have been a long-time patron of Top Gun Seafood Restaurant. It is conveniently located in Factoria and saves me from having to go to Chinatown!

It’s a solid place to get some dim sum. The portion size here are pretty large, and the food comes out quick. Instead of ordering from a cart, there is a menu that you order from using your phone. It can be quite slow when everyone is trying to order from the website. The other option is that a waiter can come and manually take your order from you. We ordered a good variety of dim sum for for of us, to a point where we didn’t have any free space on the table. I enjoyed their congee and beef shui mai.

I used to love eating at Top Gun for dim sum and other dishes, the last time I was here was about a year ago but this time the quality of food and service has gotten dramatically worse. First off you now have to order thru a QR code that’s on every table and order thru their website on your phone. Next, the quality of food has really gone downhill, less meat, shrimp, vegetables in the dim sum and no condiments for the congee. The service was very unlike other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, and it was difficult to get someone’s attention when I needed something. I asked for sriracha hot sauce(they used to have it) and was told no and all they have is the crusty chili oil in an old and dirty looking container on the table. There are a few other dim sum restaurants on the west side that are much better than this place now. It’s sad because I used to love coming here with family and the food and service was so much better. I’m guessing the owners are trying to save every little bit of money they can.

Not actual HongKong style dimsum but somewhat US-nized, however I found my liking here. Large enough and reasonable price per dish. Any dimsum dish comes 3 or 4 pieces. You may have ordered 2-3 menus per person and share – it means party of 3~4 people would be the best.

Some of the best dim sum in WA! We haven’t been back in awhile and it’s even better than before. Recommend getting the egg tarts, pineapple custard buns, sticky rice, honey pork ribs, soy noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The crab is perfection

Top gun features some delicious dim sum and seafood. Usually there’s a wait for a table and sometimes it’s a while especially on the weekends. Food comes out decently quick after you order scanning their QR code at the take you’re seated at and selecting what you want. The restaurant gets very busy on the weekends and you often have to park off-site.

Clean place with a Japanese garden like ambience. Perhaps a little too clean as my tea cup and soup spoon still smelled strongly of bleach which was quite off putting. The menu had all the dim sum classic dishes and tasted good but can tell that they weren’t the freshest. Pretty good salt and pepper squid but the dish could have more

Uploaded image summarizes everything! I’ve been coming here for over 7 years now (maybe more). Service has never been great, but it never bothered me as there are not many dim sum options around the area. However, a visit a month ago, I found a cockroach on my siewmai. It’s fortunate that the cockroach was on the outside and not in the siewmai, otherwise I wouldn’t have known! I suspect some of you who have eaten here in the past might have eaten “extra protein” in your dim sum without knowing! What’s more appalling was the restaurant’s response. They replaced that siew mai and gave a 15% discount (our bill was only $24… which someone in my group pointed out could have been 100% comped). Manager (who was at the front desk) didn’t even come to the table despite us asking to speak to her to let her know that a cockroach in our food isn’t acceptable (I mean how do we know the other dishes were clean). We don’t expect a server to drive much changes at this restaurant and that’s why we wanted to raise it up with the manager. The manager’s response (or lack of) clearly shows her indifference to this incident and restaurant hygiene in general. I highly discourage patronizing this restaurant, go a little farther to the international district in seattle. Service and dim sum are much better over there! My friend lodged a complaint with the WA department of health (we didn’t want to post a review until they get a surprise visit from a health inspector, thus this delayed review).

(Please note this place is to be really nice and I loved it before ) this is what’s going on now >>>> Ok so they have a horrible system to order where you have to load the menu with a very poor page which took us around 30 min to order while trying to get it load in my phone or anyone in my party and we ask the staff if we could get a regular menu but they got really upset that we were asking for help so we could order ? I am not being unreasonable for asking for help but I got yelled by the cashier ???? … I mean if you have a restaurant wouldn’t you have a functional menu where people could order without having to yell at your customers …. 🙁

In terms of food quality: I rate all the dishes I tried as medium. Food tastes just OK. Fried tofu tasted like it is fried in old oil. I’m a bit disappointed to see dried red chili flakes on “Salt & Pepper Calamari” and “Salt & Pepper Tofu” Price adjustments are noticeable. Therefore I’m giving two stars for those dishes today.
