One of my goals this year is to travel more, both road trips and flights and my first stop was Elora. While exploring the town, I decided to try something new and walked into Tony’s Sourdough Pizzeria without any expectations.

I ordered the BRAISE BE – Michelin Collab Favourite (24hr Braised Short Rib, Fontina Cheese, Demi-glace, House Potato Chips, Crème Fraîche, and Chives). Honestly, I thought it would taste like regular pizza… but oh my goodness, this was on another level.

The 24-hour braised short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the combination with the creamy fontina and rich demi-glace created such a unique, balanced taste. The sourdough crust had that perfect texture, crispy on the outside yet soft inside which made every bite even better.

The experience of trying it “blindly” and being pleasantly surprised made it even more special. It’s not just pizza; it’s an experience.

I now officially have another reason to drive back to Elora. This pizza alone is worth the trip, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Highly recommend if you’re visiting

This pizza was so close to perfection. The sauce was tangy and seriously delicious, the kind that makes every bite pop. The crust was the real MVP though: crispy on the outside, but still pillowy and soft inside (elite combo).

Honestly, this would’ve been a straight-up 5-star pizza if they’d just given me about two extra inches of za. Especially since the price was a little steep for such a tiny pie. When it’s that good and that expensive, I’m gonna need more of it.

Tony’s Pizza in Elora was hands down our favourite meal of the long weekend!

The pizza was absolutely delicious, the crust light, airy, and perfectly crisp. We had the privilege of watching a few pizzas being made before ours, and the attention to detail that goes into every pie is outstanding.

Also, the gentleman who took our order was super sweet and took the time to walk us through the different pies, which made choosing super easy.

Absolutely delicious (and deeply satisfying) flavourful pizza. It was exactly what we needed before heading out for our hike this afternoon!

We came the evening before, but they were already sold out! It’s worth it, so get here before they do!

Loved the presentation too! Thanks Tony!

A quaint pizzeria in the heart of Elora! We enjoyed the Thai milk tea ( a must!) and the Braised Short Ribs pizza. The pizza was good overall like the dough and the braised ribs, but the chips sprinkled on top was a tad overwhelming.
A heads up – the wait was for about an hour due to the sheer number of tourists during the Halloween March event.
I would come back again to try the other flavors.

Great sourdough pizza and tiramisu!

Umami Pie:
– Awesome mushroom and truffle flavour
– Wished it was a tad more savoury (it’s in the name after all), it was almost a little bitter

Weekend Pie:
– Red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, red onion, cheese
– Really nice combo of savoury flavour

Nice amount of chewiness in the dough from the sourdough which makes it stands out from your average pizza.

Tiramisu:
– Sleeper hit for sure, it is super creamy and soft – one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had
– The perfect amount of sweetness, with just the slightest bit of brightness from the zest to balance it out

Fantastic place for more gourmet pizza options. It is a little pricey at ~$20 per 10-12 inch pie, but that’s pretty on par for artisan pizza. There is limited seating inside but there are several patio tables.

It was my first time visiting Elore Tony’s Pizzeria, and honestly… this place became the best spot I hit on my whole trip damn! The pizza was bussin’, the vibes were on point, and I’m still thinking about that first bite. If you haven’t been here yet, go. Your taste buds will thank you.

As tourists visiting Elora, we had two phenomenal pizzas at Tony’s. I’m a HUGE fan of legit Neapolitan pies (make them, myself), and these were delicious examples. The dough was light, the leoparding was on point, and the flavors divine. The outdoor, public courtyard dining space felt right, as well. I wish I had a place like this close to home…

The tiramisu was a dream! 10/10 even if you don’t want to get pizza. But the pizza!! So fresh, the dough was amazing! We got the truffle umami pizza and who would have thought a pizza with mushrooms on it would taste so good! The staff here were so sweet and helpful alongside the cozy atmosphere which makes it perfect for dine in! Couldnt recommend it more!

The best pepperoni pizza I have ever had! It is sweet and spicy which is extremely tasteful. The mushroom pizza is fresh and natural.

Do dine in and you can have the very awesome first bite!
