This was my first visit and I was most pleased with the food. There is no table service. The menu is mounted on the counter where you order so there isn’t much time to look it over with people waiting in line. It’s very clean and the menu has a wide variety of deli items including Middle Eastern food. There are lots of drink choices. I was really surprised to see Grape Nehi which I hadn’t seen in years. It’s a great place for quick take out.

I like when ppl revive old places & try to keep the spirit of the previous place alive. This is located in the old Tony’s Diner spot on tidewater dr. It’s a bright, clean little spot w/some seating by the windows. A big menu w/lots of variety. I had the chopped cheese on a roll w/funky fusion chips. $11.99. Good value. The place was bustling as it was a Saturday afternoon when I was there but the staff was friendly & service was quick. The sandwich was good.

I had the mixed lamb and chicken over rice. It was delicious. Looking forward to trying more. This place is also halal. It’s clean and reasonable priced.

NY Style corner deli / grill — elite ball knowledge in all of the dishes I’ve had so far. They even got the Kaiser rolls for the BEC. Halal plate over rice also clears any of the others I’ve had in the Hampton roads area. The chicken/lamb chunks are generously portioned, and everything is made fresh to order. Salute

Good prices and good portions. Interesting collection of drinks.
I was here for almost an hour and there was never a time when there wasn’t a line.
Obviously people love the food. But at this time they do not serve hummus or baba ghanoush which was disappointing.
I had the lamb platter which was so salty that it was mostly inedible.
Perhaps it was just an off day for the cook but whatever sauce they used was salty, the meat was salty and even the rice was salty. I took a few bites but couldn’t continue.
That being said, I can’t fault the service and the interior was spotless.
The diner has enough potential that I’ll come back to try something else but I’ll pay with cash because there is a charge for using a card.

Acting like a New York style halal deli it’s fine. Quality of food is good. Great if you want a rice bowl or something of the sort but the breakfast is not good. No matter how you order the eggs they come out the same way. Their hash browns are just unseasoned tater tots. I’ll crush the bowls from here but will not get breakfast here again

My husband and I moved to VA from Queens, New York in 2021 & we have not found a spot that makes the perfect Baconeggandcheese and cold cut sandwiches that NY gave us and comfort until today! We ordered Baconeggandcheeses and they were spot on! Bread had great taste and super soft! Can’t wait to try something else on their menu next time! Hope this place never changes.

As a New York native, I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to have Tony’s deli in Norfolk.
I read an article online that shared the owners are from Brooklyn, so I had to try it.
Went in there for the first time today and ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll – my normal order when I was back in NY.
This is as legit as it gets.
I immediately sent a message to my family and friends that were also from NY to let them know they have to try it out.
Depending on how many people are in there, your food can take a minute to be ready, but that’s only because they make everything to-order and fresh… so I can’t really complain about that.
I will be back, and probably way too often!

Got the Italian Stallion and was pretty disappointed. For the price I expected a bit more meat/better quality. Would try out something different, but this definitely isn’t the place for classic deli sandwiches.
