We met a couple at a bar in Salem and they mentioned if we want amazing fish and chips (and lobster rolls) to check these guys out. We were going to tour the USS Salem so we stopped here for lunch.

We got fish and chips, fried clam strips, clam chowder and coleslaw. 10/10 For all of it. No room to try the lobster roll but everything else was AWESOME! It’s super cute and sits across the street from the beach.

It was my wife and I first lobster roll. We had it with melted butter. Tony’s had plenty of food in the order that included clam chowder, clam fritters, and fries. The staff was very helpful and the atmosphere was typical of a beachside restaurant.

Best fish n chips and fried clams I’ve had in a long time! Fish was fried to perfection. Thick, light and juicy. Whole belly clams were as good as they come. Fries were tasty but needed a little salt. What I like most was the breading didn’t fall off and nothing was overly greasy.

Well worth the price at this joint.

Tony’s Clam Shop is a must visit when you’re in Quincy! Nestled right across from Quincy Bay Beach, this spot offers unbeatable views, especially at sunset. We sat outside and watched the sky light up over the bay while enjoying fresh, flavorful seafood. My daughter had the Maine steamers (broiled clams), and I went with the cold Maine lobster tail. Both were delicious and served in generous portions. The atmosphere was relaxed, coastal, and perfect for unwinding after a busy day driving from the Philly area to Boston.

We were just in town for a few days visiting colleges in Boston, and staying in Quincy turned out to be ideal. It gave us easy access to the city, while offering peaceful waterfront vibes and great food just steps away. Tony’s is one of those places you’ll remember long after the trip, definitely going back when we’re in the area again!

Great spot for the summer sitting out front facing the ocean! They hire all the young folks for the summer. which is great they do a great job.
I had a broiled haddock dinner with rice pilaf, and a Greek salad on the side , my husband had a fried seafood platter! They did a great job with both. My heart had the right amount of seasoning and lemon on it. The rice pilaf was a little dry this time. This place gets really packed.
They are great steamers and lobster roll as well. I would say the best seafood in the Boston area.

I’ve been living in Boston my entire life and have NEVER heard of this place until today. My sister told me about it and we had to go. We have been craving fresh authentic seafood for a while. Upon arrival it was sort of busy but they have a great system which helped move lines along. I mean it’s your basic clam shop in Quincy, walk up to counter and order and then wait for food to be cooked. We had met a worker named Victoria ( who was so amazingly helpful, kind and so down to earth) along with the food she made our experience that much more top tier… Okay let’s get to the food deets…
I ordered a seafood plate which came with calamari ( rings and tentacles ), shrimp ( huge), fish not sure what kind but by far was DIVINE ( wanna say haddock or cod), scallops, clam strips ( which I opted out b/c that’s not my cup of tea, so they gave me extra calamari and shrimps. All this was paired w/fries delicious which all cost around $42 well worth it. I noticed someone else had onion rings which looked out of this world and boy oh boy I tell you I’m glad I did a side order because they were sooooo good, pricing around $8-9. Very fulfilling so much I was able to share with others in my party. The food was NOT salty at all or greasy, and the best part was, it’s fried to perfection All that was needed was ketchup, hot sauce (gotta have it ) and tarter sauce ( my preference). Victoria recommended the coleslaw which was happy I took her advice. Now I’m a person who is extremely picky about coleslaw, but not here it’s superb and pairs well with the fish..
My daughter doesn’t like seafood at all, so she got the steak and cheese sub ( sorry didn’t get pics but trust me looked great) the bread looked like it was freshly baked and she too said the meat was seasoned well ( not salty). Her meal came with a bag of chips and a pickle for about $16. She wanted my fries which worked out well since I got onion rings.. So when ordering if you want fries tell them while ordering and opt out the chips, they probably will up charge but again well worth it…
The Shirley Temples seemed to be a hit so thats what we ordered and my daughter loved it but to me it was a bit sweet. ( I’m used to drinking water) my sister got an Arnold Palmer in which she really enjoyed.
* Forgot to mention lots of different options to choose from even healthy ones like broiled seafood, salads, fresh clams and lobster rolls etc.

Atmosphere: Depending the weather they have tables with little cover tents to sit under and eat. Scenery is beautifully because the beach is in the background. Again depending on time you go you will have the sunset to look at while eating. But if that’s not your thing no problem there’s plenty of eating tables inside, which were very clean and big windows to still enjoy the sunsets and views of beach. Bathrooms were available for use as well.
In addition per Victoria they have a bar out back w/ live band music ( you will have to check on social media because the days/times vary. [I did see people ordering drinks inside as well]

All in all this place is a and will be my new favorite seafood spot!

* Most questions about menu specifics can be seen on there website *

Food was amazing! Great views too! Loved the steamers and fried oysters! Only thing amiss was the dog water bowl was not fresh. (I am sure this was a minor oversight) Definitely coming again!

Everything at Tony’s was exactly as I’d hoped. I came for the hype — and it delivered. Their lobster roll: generous chunks of lobster, no mince, no fillers, just sweet, fresh lobster tucked into a perfectly toasted hoagie. The portion shown was for three, yet it could have easily satisfied six. Pure lobster bliss.
